I have now been waiting for over 3 months to get my recliner fixed. I purchased the recliner last summer and this is my second claim. Same issue of not being able to shut it. Never really shut that great to begin with. I actually fell one time trying to shut it when I was pregnant. Lost my footing and fell backwards onto the floor. Started the second claim to get it fixed on 6/3/19 and today is 9/8/19 and it is yet to be fixed. EFO contracts out to SAW enterprises. You call SAW and are on hold. Then it states to press 1 to have a rep call you back. You press 1 and it tell you it is an invalid command-please continue to hold. EFO is also aware of the problem. Chair is still not fixed and we are pushing 100 days....
Update: Chair was finally fixed. I had a rep from SAW repair come to my home to try and fix. He stated that he could not fix it with what parts were originally ordered. He also stated whoever repaired the chair on the first claim (EFO) put the bottom support on backwards. Every time we were closing it - it was pushing the bars out. He told me to refuse SAW to fix it and have EFO come out and get it. I'm guessing because it was going to be another 1-3 month process to start over and get all the needed parts. EFO did fix it and delivered it. However, their delivery men littered on my road. I came up my private drive 10 minutes after they left (no one else had been up or down since the delivery crew) and there were multiple empty bags of chips and snacks littered throughout my driveway. Read moreFinally got my husband to admit we needed new living room furniture. He still referred to the set we bought in 1995 as "the new furniture" LOL. We went to EFO Bloomsburg to look. They have plenty of very nice furniture to choose from. Salesman didn't push but was available for questions. We found what we thought we wanted, but went home without purchasing. Went back to purchase a few days later, but ended up picking a different sofa. We bought 2 sofas, and a loveseat. My husband can be difficult, but John T. was very patient, and helpful. He stayed away, but was there when we needed him. He helped us get exactly what we wanted, by customizing the upholstery. He, along with a girl that worked there (sorry, don't remember her name) helped us even decide the patterns for all the pillows. Furniture was ordered and would be in 3-4 weeks. When John called 3 weeks later, I pushed delivery off as we were painting and getting new floors and I didn't think we would be ready. Turns out we would be ready, so I called and John moved delivery up to original date. Day before delivery, they confirmed delivery and gave 3 hr window. Day of delivery, they arrived 15 minutes into the deivery time. They were.very professional and handled the furniture well. I did not even have to tell them to be careful of the new floor. They placed furniture carefully down where I wanted it. They had me check everything to make sure nothing was wrong, and even took pictures of furniture in place. Read moreWe have bought two couches at EFO Bloomsburg And we have sent many customers to them as well. We bought the extended warranty for the second purchase and within 2 years the material ripped. When I tried to file a claim the insurance company refused to cover it. I called the store and requested their assistance and the response I got was that they have never had this issue before. Well - you have it now - how about providing good customer service and either getting the insurance to cover this issue or at least offer us a refund or a credit? Nope - nothing. I will never buy from EFO again - I will never recommend them - I will never be duped into buying an extended warranty again.
UPDATE. we were contacted by EFO and told they would reupholster our couch. I’ve been waiting weeks for a call to schedule - nothing. I guess they thought I’d edit or remove my review if they promised repair even if they never did it. Nope.
Update - it’s been 3 more weeks. This seems to be the only way I get contacted so I am posting here asking for an update. If you don’t plan to reupholster the couch how about delivering a new one? Or tell me you don’t plan to do anything - and I will need to buy a new couch somewhere. It’s very...
