ALDI — Local services in Hemlock Township

Great improvement since it opened a few years ago. When my family contracted COVID-19 in 02/2021, we did the pickup. The produce selection was AWFUL and we were very disappointed. Customer service was GREAT and got a refund, which we ended up using once we were out of quarantine. When we entered the store, the produce did not look fresh and we were super disappointed and felt the store was not being managed properly.

We ended up shopping at Aldi's again after going to the Berwick one, which we found has a good selection and the produce was fresh. Therefore, we decided to try the Bloomsburg Aldi's again because it's closer to us.

Since using the Bloomsburg Aldi's in 02/2023, the produce has been fresh. We ended up doing the pickup in 03/2023, due to us having a GI and didn't want to pass it to another person. Who ever did the pickup did a FANTASTIC job. The produce was beautiful and the woman who loaded up my car was sweet & professional.

The store is clean and the shelves are always stocked. The staff are professional and the check out has been pretty quick. They'll have 1 cashier open, but honestly, you end up waiting several minutes which is not bad at all. My children and I don't mind the wait and the cashier's have been kind and professional.

Walked over from the Holiday Inn to grab some snacks for the room and was surprised that this location didn't have much to choose from like other locations I'm familiar with in VA. I did find some chips and salsa, along with a pint of ice cream. They had one lane open and every one else seemed to be actually grocery shopping and of course ahead of me, so as i wait in line with my three items I finally make it to the cashier, then out of nowhere someone comes up behind her asking for price checks on wrapping paper, and without even acknowledging me she decides to help another customer price check rolls of wrapping paper while I sit there watching my ice cream break a sweat 😑 I go to rest my elbow on the end of the cart that is stationed for groceries to be sat in as you are checking out and without hesitation the cashier pulls the cart out from under my elbow causing me to fumble, I said excuse you...she didn't respond, rang my item's up in complete silence and then handed me my receipt. I know places are desperate for help in every aspect of job's nation wide but to put someone in place with no regard to customer service is absolutely poor. If I was a local here I wouldn't come back to this location and spend my money. She totally represented Aldi...

Great store, great selection. However, their selection of employees doesn’t seem great at all. I was appalled. I went in for groceries for the first time ever, I’m even afraid to go back. It was starting to get busy so the cashier opened up another register and called for a girl to come help open another line. She got very agitated with him and screamed across the store showing her disgust. She came up and checked me out but was so rude the whole time! Like it’s my fault she works there? She had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen. But what really bothers me is how she treated her coworker just simply asking for help to get the customers through the lines more quickly and efficiently. She belittled him in front of the entire store, she was not quiet about it. I was shocked. Then continued the negative attitude towards the customers. I could not ever imagine working with her.
