I had checked around to area florists to send my Mom a little something for Mother’s Day. She lost my Sister & Father to unexpected short battles of Cancer over the past months in 2017 and didn’t want her to not get something at her door for Mother’s Day. The only issue was my Mom herself landed in the hospital through to Friday so wasn’t sure she would be home to even get anything. I called Tumbleweeds Florist after many other options and got Annette on the phone. I asked if she could take on a Mother’s day order and she said she could. I was on their site and looked at all of the options and they were out of many vases, etc but she was very sure she could do something nice within the budget I gave her. I told her that her reviews weren’t as good as the other local florists so I phoned them last. I said but now that I’ve gotten you on the phone I would like to see if I could place this order with you instead! She literally answered the phone with a “smile” and I was fairly confident things would go well but I’m out of state so I waited for my Mom to get them & send a picture before I reviewed them. I also asked that the arrangement (which was a beautiful Lily planter with a heartfelt balloon that Annette suggested) not arrive after 5pm as she won’t be able to answer the door then. My mom wasn’t expecting anything due to all the little “hiccups” that happened during the week that would have made a delivery difficult. I told Annette even though we are sending a beautiful plant my Mom will cry when she gets the balloon! Well.... after getting home from Church my Mom called me already and it’s 3 HOURS behind where she is and she couldn’t believe she got such a beautiful gift on Mother’s Day and then said “ I have to tell you.... the Lily plant is so beautiful but the BALLOON made me cry”! I started laughing and said... “I told Annette that would happen”. I would give this caring florist a try and give them a great review right away if they have met or exceeded your expectations! The other local florist was not really wanting my business or my $. I’ll call this Florist FIRST next time! Thank you Annette & Tumbleweeds Florist for exceeding my expectations as well as making my mom happy & tears of joy on Mother’s Day with a last...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience. I gave the owner a chance to make things right privately, but I was completely ghosted.
An order was placed through a third-party service that partners with this florist, and what I received was nowhere near the quality or value of a $70 bouquet — especially when compared to what they advertise on their website. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch. The arrangement was small, the vase was basic, and the flower count was minimal — nothing close to what you'd expect at that price point.
To be fair, the shop assistant I initially communicated with was very pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, that level of service did not extend to the owner. When I spoke with her on the phone, she was dismissive and rude, and later chose not to respond at all or offer any resolution.
I understand how small businesses operate, which is why I reached out directly before leaving a review. But the lack of follow through, and the attitude says a lot.
Disappointed overall — not just by the product, but by the handling of the situation.
In response to you: Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for your response — though I want to be clear, this is the first I’ve heard from you directly since our phone call. I gave your business more than a generous amount of time to respond in a professional and proactive way before leaving my review, and unfortunately, that never happened.
Regardless of your explanation, the bouquet that was delivered was noticeably sparse and disappointing — not at all reflective of what was advertised or what a customer would reasonably expect from a $70 order. If your shop is consistently accepting or fulfilling third-party orders at a loss, that’s a business decision — but it’s not the customer's responsibility to absorb the outcome.
If you choose to work with third-party vendors, you're still responsible for the quality and presentation of what goes out under your name. Otherwise, you shouldn’t be contracted with those platforms at all.
At the very least, some form of resolution or accountability would have gone a long way — but that...
Read moreFirst let me say, I live in Kentucky. I googled flower shops in my mom’s area because I wanted to just send her something special and remind her I love her and I’m thinking of her. Anyway, I found this flower shop and placed my order. After a few minutes I called because I was nervous my order might not have gone through or something else. I was greeted by the shops floral arrangement artist, she was super friendly and when she was unable to find what she was looking for she handed me over to her boss which happened to be the shops owner and again I was greeted by a super friendly friendly voice. My question was answered quickly and I even got a call back to verify what flowers would be okay. She even took note of things I said to make my mom’s arrangement even more special. Thank you for a wonderful experience and a special thanks for taking care of someone who was out of state placing the order! I’ll definitely revisit this shop again for any...
