Newby at Pilates! Mind you, I’m a fluffy, forty something, who decided I’d give Pilates a try. Boy! I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. But, let me tell you, it was love at first lunge. I took my first FREE class with Sofia. Yes, you read that right your first class is FREE! I told her I was new and she treated me with such care. She helped me through the class, while making sure everyone else was taken care of too. She explains what’s going on, what to do and gets you pumped up while doing it! Today, I had class with Catherine who also handled me with great care, while pushing me to my max! Both these young ladies could’ve scoffed at me and went about their classes. However, they chose to invest in me, be kind to me and help me with my well being. I cannot recommend this studio enough. I am very excited to see my transformation at Westcore! I can’t forget to mention the Great Gatsby, (see photo). He is a great greeter for all who come to class. He comes for a visit and gets all the rubs he can, then goes and sits patiently for class to end. Super glad I’m part of the Westcore Family! Go support this woman owned...

I love how within 45 minutes, I can get a low-impact, yet full body workout here at Westcore Studio!!! They have Megaformer machines that will challenge anyone at any fitness level. It's a great workout for beginners since instructors provide queues to get you ready for the next move. It's similar to Pilates, but slightly different. Each move has a unique name, so you start to memorize the moves as you take more classes.

My favorite part about coming to the studio is how welcome they make me feel. Although I'm fairly new to taking classes there, I can tell Sofia, the owner, and the rest of the instructors are building a strong community. I'm proud to support a Latina-owned small business!

And I forgot the best part! Gatsby, the other co-founder of WestCore Studio, is the cutest doodle dog around. He makes you feel at home! Happy to support Westcore this National #LeaveAReview Day!
