We have regularly shopped at Kohl's Burlington since it opened. It had been our go-to place for clothing. Recently our son applied to work there and they set an appointment to speak with him by phone. Just days before, my wife and I had purchased a new phone for him. We had been having trouble setting it up as it was not receiving our texts or calls. We thought we had it fixed finally and our son gave Kohl's his new # for the interview. He never got a call during the time they were supposed to reach out to him, so to follow up with them, he called them and said he never got a call during their scheduled time. They said they had called and that he "never answered" so it was is going in their books as a "flaked or missed appointment". He told them he was having difficulty w/ this new phone and asked if they could somehow still have the interview- the HR lady was not forgiving or understanding and said a stark "no, I'm sorry, we called and you missed our appointment." I never step in as a parent but felt I should at this point, since we were actually having honest difficulties with this new phone. I spoke with the same HR lady and she was very unkind, even rude sounding when I tried to explain to her what has been happening with this phone, and I confirmed that he was ready, sitting there waiting for their phone call. She sounded like she didn't really want to hear it, and kept repeating, "I'm sorry, it's going in our books that he flaked on the appointment." I again appealed to her to try to understand that he was ready for the appointment, but his phone never rang. We tested his phone again ourselves, and it indeed was still struggling receiving our calls. She was unmoved and said "I'm sorry, that's not our fault". All that to say, I would have thought that this store would have been at least a little understanding and humane about something that was out of our son's control, and was more our fault as parents I guess. Anyhow, this experience left us feeling awful and we came away with the conclusion that our son was probably better off not working at a place like this. I am also choosing to find a new store to shop for all of our clothing needs and gift card purchases. We have spent thousands of dollars through the years there, but will gladly give that up to better support a store that has the capacity to be kind-hearted and decent with regards to their...

The nice young lady who was ringing people up was extremely thorough with her sanitization of all commonly touched surfaces. After ringing up each customer she sprayed & wiped down the counters on both sides of the cash register as well as the credit card machine. She was also wearing Disposable gloves, as well as a mask (of course). I was very impressed with this degree of sanitization and it really showed a great level of respect to each individual customer. I very rarely leave reviews, especially when it comes to large chain stores, but I felt compelled because I honestly havenât been in any other stores or businesses that cared enough to take the time to be so thorough with disinfecting surfaces throughout the ongoing COVID pandemic.
I wish I knew the checkerâs name because she deserves some kudos. She was working on 10/12 & had long brown hair and cute glasses. She deserves a raise, or at least a đ
There were 3 other employees lurking around the store entrance which was awkward. Only spoke with 1 of them and she wasnât...
Read moreThough they have good prices the management is terrible. I asked an employee for a family fitting room so I could show my fiance Easter dresses and she said any is fine and showed us one with a bench so he could be there, well.... next thing I know some completely unprofessional rude manager is pounding on the door practically demanding my fiance leave that it's not allowed. Completely embarrassed us like we were the ones in the wrong, and when I said something about the way she addressed us she proceeded to argue with me. Then to top it off as I was leaving I walk up and they're all gossiping in a circle like a bunch of highschoolers. I've been in customer service for years and this was just ridiculous. I will be avoiding this place as much as possible.
edit Well I decided to knock my review to one store. Before we check out I seen the manager whisper to my cashier, my cashier ended up being short and brief and was not kind. I just pulled out my shirt and the sensor is still on it, it happens but I beleive this was in purpose. I really hope kohls addresses these unprofessional workers, took place on...
