In-store associates are very nice. However, I will never again purchase anything from Home Depot that requires installation or delivery through their subcontractors. The first problem was attempting to order carpet. I placed an order 3 weeks in advance of when I wanted it to be installed. I was told this was plenty of time to have it scheduled. It needed to be done after we closed on our house but before our household goods were delivered, as the house had to be empty for them to install the carpet. I was to wait for a call from their subcontractor, Romanoff to schedule the actual install date. Over a week went by with no call. I called them to schedule and they told me they didn't know when the carpet shipment would come in and that they would call me to schedule the installation once it came in. Another week later they say they can install it in a month, 6 weeks after my order was placed. This was unacceptable and I cancelled my order. I did not post a negative review at that time because they gave me a full refund, but it still caused quite a headache trying to get someone else out sooner to install the carpet. After that, we placed an order for kitchen appliances. Again, the delivery team was very nice, but they gouged my floors about 3 feet dragging out the old range and installing the new one. They also set the microwave box on the wood floor. The staples from the box also scratched the floor there. They told me to sign a form stating they had delivered everything. Thankfully I actually read it before signing it, because what I was actually signing was a statement that they did not do any damage the house. I told them I wouldn't sign it because they did damage the floor. They took pictures of the damage and assured me someone would be in contact to fix it. They said they wouldn't be responsible for the damage from the microwave because they didn't install it. This was on July 10th. Someone called and offered $100. I told them that wasn't close to enough to sand and refinish the floors. Over the next 9 days, I was passed from Home Depot to Sedgwick to GE (we did not order GE appliances), back to Sedgwick to Temco (who actually did the delivery). I finally spoke with Joe there who requested pictures of the damage as his delivery team never reported the damage or sent the pictures they took. I sent the pictures that day. No response for 11 days. I called again. I was told they had no record of my claim. I talked to Joe again. He told me he'd send the pictures I'd emailed him to his team and call me back in a half hour with a response. No call. I called him back an hour later and he said I could get $250, which again isn't close to enough to refinish hardwood floors. The alternative was to get 3 separate bids and send him the copies and then his team would review them and decide what they wanted to reimburse us. No guarantee of reimbursement for the bids or anywhere close to what the bids were. Nothing but a runaround to avoid paying for the damage.

Ordered 5 doors to be installed. The vendor who comes out to measure lost our order to come out. Then when the did come out, the store said they couldn’t see the measurements (even though the vendor said they would be visible in 3-4 hours from when the came to measure them). After waiting 5 days I spoke again with the store door specialist who said they still were not in. I found this odd and called on of the HD virtual specialist who found them right away and placed my order. Then when we got the doors, 3 of the 5 had major dings in the wood. One had orange scuffs from the cart so who knows if they came that way from the factory or were damaged while they were brought up to the front. The installer graciously communicated the damage to the store and said they would be sending out new doors. After waiting 10 days I called to check the status. The store said they did not place the order and would be contacting the vendor that day. I called for an update the next day and they still had not called the door vendor. I have spoke with managers and tried to resolve this before leaving a review. At this point, I feel the public should know to not deal with this location if you wish to not receive this kind of customer service. At no time I have even received an apology. Just a “we will get back to you”, which they never do.

This place carries pretty much anything you could ever need for your projects. If there’s something random that I’m not sure where it might be, I buy it online and just pick it up at the lockers right at the front. That’s also nice during the holiday season when the lines are long. staff is always super nice and super helpful as well. I like going in the spring time and getting plants and flowers as the weather gets warm.

I ordered four windows through this Home Depot back in April of 2022 that were supposed to be installed in August 2022. I was contacted the day prior to be told one of the windows wasn't in and if I would be ok to reschedule. I told them that was fine with me. I asked for a new ETA on the windows and ended up paying for them in full during that same conversation because we had plans coming up to go out of town. I was instructed to call back in a week for an ETA. From August until January I had to call weekly asking for a status of our windows that I paid $5000 for and was ghosted over and over again. Finally, in January of 2023 they came out to install the windows but one of them was the wrong size. Luckily, we had ordered a larger window and the smaller one that came in fit. However, we were charged a fee to cut the wall into a bigger size and charged for a bigger window. The team who came and installed the window said to make sure we were reimbursed for the services not rendered and the difference in window size. So... I have been back to calling daily asking for refund. I have been met constantly with a lack of empathy- the Home Depot team going as far to insinuate I am lying about the windows. I have given them the name of the window installation company and the gentleman who installed the window who confirmed my story and even submitted a document explaining that the wrong size window was received and what is owed to us. I was finally told almost 2 weeks ago I would receive a refund via a gift card and that was all they are willing to do, and that they would contact me last week with the details. I have not received a call. I gave them a few days and am back to calling daily. It is absolutely horrendous the way we have been treated. I started this process almost a year ago and was told our windows would be installed before the winter (the winds were for my kids rooms which get very cold because the windows are ancient) and now, a year later, we are still battling this process. All I have ever asked for is to be reimbursed for a service that I didn't receive (the cutting of my wall- an egress charge) and the difference for the size of window. I had plans to order another round of windows this year from them along with a screen door and new backdoor, but I will NEVER order from them again after this is finished. I have been so...

Anytime of year, this cornucopia of my DIY passions brings me in to find something I need to accomplish my various projects in a convenient location. From spring planter starters to the less enjoyable replacement of the toilet bowl tank assembly Home Depot has fair pricing, knowledgeable, and helpful staff that makes you feel they are listening and there to help.

The other night, about a half hour from closing I went in with purpose, no doddling checking out all the sections because I knew closing would sneak up on me. I love hardware stores. BUT I needed a piece of lumber, nothing fancy for a simple shelf project. End if the day stacks of common lumber were available but we're showing me I was going through the end if day picked overs prior to restocking BUT I was not disheartened, or deterred, and after picking over a small bit of warped and damaged my board chosen was perfect. I needed it cut too. Fifteen mins from closing, my board was cut and in my car. I love the convenience of good inventory, enough night staff to promptly cut my one board, and a friendly chap to boot. I felt all empowered to reach my shelf goal.

My check stated the price and my jaw fell open! Fifty some dollars??? For my one board with three curs? Oh man! I asked him if I misunderstood the price, as it was just one board 2x6 cut into four pieces. He was so great, and set my mind at rest as he had not realized that it was a cut board. Phew!

Easy, to fix, and if that was the worst of my trip I surely was satisfied and appreciative of the hours and ample employees at end of the day to take care of me, even with my small expenditure. I was getting it done, even though a small trip in for me, those little things add up.

Home Depot helps me keep it simple and popping in to knock this off my list is very satisfying, from the time if day, where no other customers per say are there, the in and out, and the neighborhood feel of it being my local hardware store, vs. going into Seattle, I was home within a bit and...
