I dropped off my mother at JC Penney as soon as the store opened and I went to look for parking. My mother went to undergarment womenâs section where an older lady has been working there for years. My mother approached the older lady and stated that she did not know her bra size and asked her if she could please help her, my motherâs English isnât perfect. The lady looked at her and stated â I donât know eitherâ with an attitude and then added âI canât help you.â My mother walked away. When I got there I went to the desk and asked if they still did bra fittings and another employee mentioned they did not but VS did. I thanked her for being nice and then asked the older lady employee if it was her that had a conversation with my mother. The employee ignored me and I asked her again if it was her that was rude to my mother earlier. The other employee who had not been there earlier; looked over at the older lady and the older lady started to laugh and stated that she talked to a lot of people that day and she did not who my mother was and stated she didnât know. Mind you, the mall had just opened. The older employee was mostly explaining herself to the younger employee and made minimal eye contact with me and shrugged her shoulders and lifted her arms. I mentioned to the older employee that the mall had just opened and we were the only ones shopping in her area, and if she couldnât remember who she talked to a couple minutes ago, maybe she shouldnât be working anymore. I asked the older employee if her interaction with my mother was due to her broken English, as when I had approached the desk, I was treated kindly. The older employee puffed and walked away stating she did not know who my mother was and then changed her story and lifted her arm and pointed at me and told me that she did talk to my mother but she was very nice to her. The younger employee was there but did not say anything to either of us and had her head down reading a paper as this conversation went on. My mother finished shopping and both registers were open, we walked towards the older ladyâs register. When the employee saw me walking with my mother towards her register, her face flushed red and she looked down. There were 2 customers behind us and the employee changed her demeanor and asked if we found everything okay, I thanked her for being nice and she huffed again and said something along the lines of âwowâ or â oh my godâ we purchased our things and left. I believe that lady is...
Read moreI called the portrait studio at 4pm to let them know we were running a bit behind(our appt was at 4), my son, who has autism is 2 and he had a bit of a meltdown which was the main reason we were running behind however he composed himself and got into a great mood(rare occurrence after a meltdown). My 3 month old also was in a great mood. Anyways the lady I believe her name was autumn stated if I was more than 10 minutes late she couldnât take me. I asked why and she said because they had a 4:45 appt. I asked her if it takes a half hour and she stated no that it only takes 15 minutes. I asked her if it only takes 15 minutes why couldnât she take us as itâs very difficult to get my 2 kids ready and in a good mood. She then said that sheâd try her best but couldnât make any guarantees if we were more than 10 minutes late. So I asked her why I would drive out there knowing that weâd be more than 10 minutes late if she wasnât going to take us? She said very rudely âok fine if your here within 15 minutes Iâll take youâ. Had she not said âsee you in 15 minutesâ and hung up on me, I would have told her I would be more than willing to come back and look at my photos another day but she didnât give me that opportunity. She also refused to give her name when I called back and asked her for it and it was like pulling teeth getting her to tell me the managers name. I worked for the company for almost 4 years and I NEVER treated any of my clients like that. Itâs a shame. I know Eden prairie doesnât always have good ratings but Iâve taken photos there before with my son and they turned out great. They also last minute scheduled us an appointment at ridge dale so that I could still get the kids pics done while they were in a good mood. I recommend avoiding Burnsville and going with...
Read moreWe have been going to the portraits department for the last three years. We went there this year again, had our holiday pictures taken, et. Today my wife went over there to pick up the cards and the family picture which we had already paid for. The so called "manager" decided to force a added $21 on my wife to pay stating that the "specs" pictures are mandatory and that she had pay for it.. Despite explaining that we dont need the specs, they needed us to pay before handing us the pics. I called later in the day and asked why we were asked to buy something we did not want and need. She was rude, and hung up on me while talking. I called her back and asked her first to quit hanging up on customers. She later rudely explained that the specs purchase was optional, when in fact they made it sound mandatory. I asked for immediate refund, she refused and wanted me to bring the specs back. I said, i hate to spend gas money and time to bring something back i did not want in the first place. But, rather i would mail them. She refused to give money back. After much debare, she agreed to refund the money, but only after they receive the specs back. She and her assistant manager were the worst service. Never had this kind of an experience at JCP in the three years of being a loyal customer. Im not going back ever again. I will be raising a bbb ticket and store manager escalation. This is the state of JCP customer scamming at the portrait dept.
What a great holiday experience to a loyal...
