Too long didn't read: Management does not have any compassion for residents. After saying that they would do anything they could to help after I had multiple immediate family deaths, they refused to even wave fees after a misunderstanding.
My boyfriend and I lived at these apartments for a little over 2 years. In February, my only brother died suddenly and we had to move out sooner than expected so we could take in his extra large dog that we couldn't take care of if we continue to live at this apartment complex. I set up an in person meeting with management to inform them that we would be having to move out and to see if we could get out of the lease early. Even though they said in that meeting that they would do anything they could for us in this hard time, they let us know it would cost us more money to move out early than if we just stayed till the end of our lease. A few weeks later we asked if since we were moving out before the end of our lease, if we could at least drop the garage and pet rent we were currently paying. They never responded even though we checked that it was the correct email address to send it to. I understand missing an email seeing as my boyfriend and I missed an email from them about the upcoming lease renewal. No other email on this was sent. At this point we did not think we had to inform them that we were moving out due to having an in person meeting and sending multiple emails about needing to move out. Apparently in the lease renewal email they sent, there was a line about requiring signing a notice of intent to vacate that we missed. Separately from this, my father passed away, in addition to my brother, less than a week ago. We currently have about half a month left on our lease and they called to inform us that we did not sign the notice to vacate. Now that it is too late, we are going to have to pay an additional 2 months of rent. I understand since they sent an email indicating this would happen if we did not sign a notice to vacate. What makes me angry is that in addition to the extra 2 months rent we are now paying unexpectedly, there are additional fees as well. Since they had previously said they would help us out if we needed it due to the deaths in my family, we asked if they could at least wave the additional fees. They told us there was nothing they could do about that. They did not ask anybody or even say they would look into it. They basically just told us we were out of luck. When we first moved into this apartment I was under the impression that it was a community, and that the management cared about the residents. They do not. The apartments are nice but I would not recommend that anyone ever lease through The Gallery.
Additional issues I've had with this apartment complex is that there are moving carts to assist residents in moving and taking groceries in, but in the past year all but one of these carts have broken down and nothing has been done to replace or fix the others. They also only let you pay rent on the first or up to two additional days later. You are unable to pay before hand. This has been an inconvenience throughout our stay. Neither of these are big issues, but as I was already writing this review I thought I would throw...
Read moreDo not walk but run away from The Gallery and anything managed by MN Stone Bridge. They are the most predatory management company you will come across. If you happen to be 4 days late on rent, they file an eviction and immediately charge you a $800 eviction filing fee and a miscellaneous "$2000" legal fees and they make you pay it to reinstate your lease. Additionally, they will not allow you to pay with debit card going forward and only accept cashier check. Their management staff is not friendly.
Additionally, The Gallery at Nicollet allows large dogs. About once per week, I find myself in a near gruesome experience encounter with a large dog whether it's popping around the corner or thru the hallway doors. You put your life at risk with entrusting a total stranger to secure their dangerous dogs. Also, I have terrible allergies with pet dander and the stair ways and hallways stink like dogs that have not bathed in years. The trash room is full of trash from dirty folks just tossing it on the floor. Clean this place up!!!!
If you see a reply from them stating to "please discuss and work towards resolution", I have tried already. They are scandalous and unethical and look for ways to charge you more. That is their main goal. You have been warned! I look forward to the...

The office manager (which is apparently new) runs the apartment like a used car salesman. He withholds information and since itâs not directly lying it doesnât count. So when he tells you that if it doesnât work out. That youâll receive your $500 back afterwards, that will be a direct lie but since you didnât record it. It wonât count, legally at least. He acts like heâs there to help you out but again heâs there to make a sale. So when he offers to change your move in date. Be aware, that the prices changes and will continue to change as he tells you the website has its marked for the wrong price and when you push back about the new prices. He will send you a wink and smiley face and tells you the heâll keep the original prices. Obviously, not because you now have legal documents supporting the original prices ;). The apartments are beautiful and itâs a great location but the manager is a joke. Please save yourself a headache. Also if you do decide to go for it- remember they charge $250 administration fees. That you donât get back and you can probably kiss your deposit fee good bye because based on his attempt of trying financial screw new tenants. I'm pretty sure he cares even less if...
