Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Burnsville

I walked in and the cashier had a huge smile and a welcoming tone. It's just hard to see people at jobs with a positive attitude these days. The best part is she wasn't the only one, the rest of the staff was friendly and cheerful. It's a chain store so you shouldn't expect grandiose accommodations, but this location is amazing. The baristas are so kind and polite. Great staff, very engaging and and service-oriented. Wow! Having been in leadership for some years, I appreciate that this caribou hires the right people. And the workers seem happy to work here. That’s priceless. This is a nice big Caribou with ample seating and interesting hustle and bustle without being so busy that it's annoying. The outdoor patio is also open which is nice to get work done, read, or chat with friends. The baristas are super fast and they made my iced white chocolate mocha just the way I like it. it's in a nice area with all the stores close by. Great little spot, close to other amenities as well as on the bus line. Quaint and cozy compared to other Caribou locations! Overall great location and service, great place to chill. I am editing my review from 5 stars to 1 star. Unfortunately this store does not seem to have good management and the customer service has gone down hill in the past 6 months. I visited here on September 9, 2017 and had to wait over 30 minutes for my drink to be made and it tasted terrible. I went back the next day and told the person at the register that my drink was not made right the day before and all they said to me was that I should have said something so they could have remade it. At close to $6 for a cup of coffee, there should be no short cuts taken and are you kidding me......wait another 30 minutes for you to remake my drink....no thank you! Several customers were even requesting their money back because the wait was so long. On the weekends it is typical for this location to run out of northern lite cooler mix and you do not find this out until you have already paid. I used to love coming here and now I dread it.

Rating this place as a 1 star because of what I experienced today. I placed an order on the app and it looked like my order didn't go through but it took the money out of my bank. It shows the payment went through! I drove to the shop and explained what happened to the manager Todd, and he had a smirk on his face while saying there's nothing I can do about that but you can call this number and maybe they can help you. Well 2 days prior to this I had the same issue because they did an update to the app, I drove to the store and spoke to the other Manger Melissa and showed what happened and she made me my order anyways because she saw the caribou app did take the payment.
