I bought a pack of tortillas, came home, and opened them only to find them moldy. I took them right back within 15 mins, only to be treated like I was just being a grumpy customer. The guy named Zach at the Caldwell location off the Blvd. who did the exchange for me made a rude comment to his coworker about the bag being opened. I explained to him that the print on the outside of the bag was covering the mold. I also told him that if it was only 1 with mold, I'd throw that one away and use the rest, but that wasn't the case. Over half the bag was moldy. He rudely told me they dont exchange things that are opened. I very politely told him that I just them and showed him the time on the recipe and it was a stocking issue, and I paid for tortillas I could eat, and clearly, they were not edible. Since it was an exchange for the exact ones, I asked if we could just trade them for the new bag, and he said no, he needed to scan the new bag. After 10 mins of him telling me I was still in the wrong, he asked me to put the new bag of tortillas on the grocery belt, so I did and he whispered something to his coworker and without scanning either bag he handed me the tortillas very rough and rude. I will NOT go back, and neither will my family...
Read moreMy friend and I went here to purchase wine for a college graduation party coming up in May. We came in on a Monday and purchased several varieties of wines, tasted a few that night and came back Tuesday to score some more of the wine that we really like.. Unfortunately, when I got home I had a receipt that showed I bought two bottles of Alexander Cabernet but I only had one in my bag when I got home.. I called in and spoke with an employee about the situation, and she told me to bring my receipt in and they would give me the bottle of wine that I was missing.. It was a 30 minute drive to get there again, and I was met with an employee who knew that I was coming in. One of the managers apparently said she had to check into it, and told me that the employee on the phone earlier was misinformed and they were not going to honor the premise under which I drove back to their store for.. It was a $10 bottle of wine, and I drove a total of an hour based on the fact that they were going to make it right with me.. Bottom line, The Caldwell Grocery Outlet is going to lose all of our business, and I will tell everyone that they are not trustworthy or honorable.. DO NOT SHOP HERE, THEY HAVE NO...
Read moreI go here to usually buy healthy-ish snacks, organic foods and just items that are overall cheaper here than even WinCo. I used to get mad none of the Grocery Outlets let you use coupons, but for the most part they really are true to their word that their price is the lowest you'll find. Everytime I go, the cashier's are ALWAYS pleasant(and for me, that's saying a lot, as I sometimes come in with my 5 kiddos, 2 of which are autistic and sometimes rowdy), and only once did I find they were out of something I usually buy here. The other fellow customers seem to be overall respectful and polite. Haven't found any questionable characters bringing in dogs that may or may not be service dogs. Store layout is similar to the one in Boise. Bathrooms, overall layout, etc. Is clean. Usually music that isn't cringe-worthy being played softly overhead. Parking lot only somewhat packed the usual times-Fridays/Saturday afternoons. Husband even commented how great they were doing a price check for us on Saturday, then apologizing to us because they didn't have the price marked anywhere on the shelf, and then putting the price on the shelf so no one else would be confused. My first and favorite place to...
