The Home Depot in Camarillo California is lucky They are receiving 1 star from me, Because if I could, I would give them a negative rating. I have been dealing with them regarding my dishwasher. In January I bought a dishwasher (Samsung) from Home Depot, had their installation company. It is now July. IN June, I called Samsung because I noticed my dishwasher was listing to one side. The Samsung Tech, came out and said that the back legs to the dishwasher were never installed and the front left leg was not installed properly to the point that the threads on the base were stripped. There was nothing he could do, except try and order the bottom part of the dishwasher and hope that his boss would okay the repair. To no avail. Samsung said it was an installation problem. I call Home depot i kept getting sent to the warranty people that kept sending me to Samsung. It was a mess, it was like no one was Listening to what I was saying. Finally got a hold of someone that was able to help ONE WEEK Later. The had to send me back to the store and have them help me. By this time I'm LIVID, i take my dishwasher back to Home Depot in Camarillo. I didn't leave until I got an answer. After and Hour of being on hold with Tempco they finally answered and because it was Saturday Tempco said they would send an email out to their corporate office and get a response back by Tuesday. Fast Forward to Tuesday. I get a hold on someone at Tempco, they said Home Depot has to do a Reverse Logistics. I get a call from Home Depot telling me Tempco is figuring it out. Fast Forward Two weeks later to Today. I decided to get an update. I called at 3:45. It is now 4:28. I finally got someone on the phone who is helping get an update. For 30 min i kept asking for a manger and NO ONE answered the phone. At one point I was on the phone and in the back ground I heard men laughing and talking and fork lifts. NO One knew i was on the phone. I Finally got someone competent. After all of this I will never buy anything from Home...
Read morea) Decided to place an order online and drive in to pick it up. b) Never received a text message nor an email from Camarillo Home Depot. c) As I ordered it online today, I went into the store in the Customer Service line for 6 minutes - no assistance. The first Home Depot employee stated that my online order was not a part of his Customer Service responsibility. Instead this Customer Service employee directed me to the other side of the store - in the front. d) Walked in and asked the second Home Depot employee I encountered if I could gain some assistance. The second Home Depot employee merely pointed to a third Home Depot employee who was assisting another customer. e) I patiently awaited her completion, provided her with the Order Number, and again, the third Home Depot employee said that I needed to wait for the next Home Depot employee to arrive at an unstaffed terminal. I waited. f) The fourth Home Depot employee arrived. I shared my disappointment with f1) Home Depot with all of its technology not sending me either an email nor a text message informing me that me order was ready. f2) The fourth Home Depot employee said that "our system was down". After providing her with the Order Number, she went to one of the lockers and retrieved it for me. g) Be advised that if you order something online at the Home Depot in Camarillo, be prepared to be passed from employee to employee. Very disappointed and will look at Lowes in the future instead...
Read moreI want to give a really great review, but this particular experience was disappointing. I called Home Depot about 45 minutes before I planned to arrive to hold a flatbed truck rental for me (they cannot reserve, but I was told they would hold it for up to an hour). The girl was very nice and took my information to hold the rental.
When I arrived, I said I had called ahead and they were holding a rental truck for me. I had also grabbed two furniture dollies to buy before going to the counter. The girl's eyes got really wide and she said something like, "I wrote your name down, but forgot to put it in our system. We just rented the last truck. I'm sorry."
Naturally, I was very aggravated as I was under a time constraint, but wasn't rude with her. Things happen. I asked if there was a Home Depot near where I was picking the couch up, and she said there was one 15 minutes away that had a truck available. I asked her to call them and hold it for me, which she did.
When we got to me paying for the dollies, she said she was giving me 50% off for her mistake, which I appreciate. However, I had to drive pretty far out of my way because the Home Depot 15 minutes away was in the opposite direction of where I was picking up my goods, and I had to inconvenience someone else by being late to pick up by a half hour. That is what I was trying to avoid by calling ahead to hold the truck. Hopefully this is a one...
