We had a great ride hosted by Elizabeth, her horse ( henry? and her dog :0) sorry i forgot their names. Elizabeth had lots of tidbits of info that we had not gotten from other types of tours and we went down some really neat roads that the trolley can't get to. We also found that our family and she had a lot in common since we have a son who is a professional horseman. You might think it is a little pricey ( and we only had two of us for the $80) but horses take a lot of care so you are paying for the whole experience and when you are on vacation, you have to enjoy the little extras. This company does a great job so we think you will ultimately think it is worth it. There are tons of other useless things you can spend $80 on.Grab 4 people, Pay the price and create a fun memory ( and tip your tour guide - thats how they feed...
Read moreThis is a professional, worthwhile endeavor -- Patty was our tour guide, and she had a true historian's enthusiasm for information, giving general context and specific, thoroughly interesting info for the entire ride. Even more than that, she described the company's loving and ethical care for their horses, told us all about our horse -- Diesel -- and other horses this outfit rescued from Boston. I was just amazed at the enthusiasm and care she took with us, turning what could have been a scripted narration into a real conversation about history, culture, Cape May, and the history of New Jersey tourism, architecture, and social life. We had teenagers, a pre-teen, and two adults, and all of us were talking about the tour for hours after. Thank you, Patty, it was truly a pleasure...
Read moreI surprised my girlfriend with a carriage ride one Sunday. Neither of us have ever been on one. It was very romantic for a couple. The lady steering the carriage talks the whole time by giving facts about places you pass by while on the carriage. There's a haunted house that you pass along the way. We spent 30 minutes on the carrige but it felt like 10 mins. It was slow going but fun and exciting as well. After the ride was over we were able to touch the horse and take a few pictures. I forget the full horses name but I know the last part of its name was Cresent moon because on the front of its head there's a patch of hair that looks like a...
