It was our last-ditch effort to find non-chain gelato before hopping aboard the shuttle back to the ferry (which is conveniently along the way) and that was a taste-bud delighting decision. I feel I should establish my credibility for this review with this: I lived in Italy, and have been hard-pressed to find gelato as delicious as Italia since I've been back in the States. Just let your salivary glands do the talkin' as I mention these flavors: Biscotti, with real chunks of biscotti cookies peppered throughout (ethereal experience), and limone gelato (a salivary salute) is what I tasted. The fam tried vanilla, grapefruit (tasted as if a grapefruit had been plucked fresh off the tree), salted caramel, cookies & cream (holy cowbells), and trust me when I say, the flavor will leave an indelible mark on your soul and your sweet tooth that you will not soon forget.
I cannot fully express how much I recommend Cione, but just know that I smell it on the gentlest breeze; I will yearn for it with every kiss from a sunset; Brad Pitt will always be to Jennifer Aniston what this gelato is to my tastebuds. It will leave an insufferable ache in the innermost depths of my tum-tum because we live so far away from it. This hunger will not be quelled for ages, so if you have the chance, have a scoop for me, and tell Fabio, he puts the "fab" in Fabio—and his gelato.
The business is run by an authentically Italian family, so trust them entirely with your lives. And your gelato.

After we left, I saw through the window that the girl working dipped a spoon into the gelato case, ate the gelato off of the spoon and then dipped her used, slobbery spoon BACK into the gelato case. We did not finish our gelato and got our money back. When we confronted the girl about how she broke numerous health codes, she was rude and did not care. Needless to say, we will not...
