Cash and Clive — Local services in Cape May

This store is incredibly cute and I loved the pieces, but if you are Latina like I am you might be treated less than wonderful how I was today. I had two items in my hand to purchase and was going to keep looking when asked by a store associate if they could hold my clothing. The tone and body language was not warm and I said “if you insist.”

I looked around and there were plenty of non-Latina women who had clothing in their hands. It was unwelcoming and made me feel like I did something wrong.

They weren’t asked to “hold clothing at the front.”

I don’t need to go into what I can afford but let’s just say I could afford many pieces and would have liked to feel a little...
