Across the Way — Local services in Cape May

My sister and I spent the day in Cape May. I had gone to Across the Way to purchase some gifts for my family. The store is bright, welcoming, and full of interesting items you don’t see anywhere else. Chris had helped us with our purchases with a helpful and happy disposition as always. I visit this store every time I go to Cape May and I think I always find something to bring home with me from there. I had unfortunately left my bag on a bench that day and didn’t realize it until hours later when we got home. A Good Samaritan returned the bag to the store, so when I called the following day Chris was there to help me once again. He wrapped up my items in a box ( even took the extra time to extra wrap some ornaments I didn’t get from his store so they wouldn’t break) and shipped the items off to me. Customer service is something that has gotten lost recently in this fast paced world but Across the Way and Chris took excellent care of me, during and after my purchase. Thanks again. Apsolutley love this shop! My friend and I make a point to visit it every year even though we stay in Sea Isle. It's really cute and trendy, from the air plants to the hand made jewerly to the sustainable packaging. It's a small store, but the shop is filled with beautifully displayed purses, kitchen gadgets, books and journals, and gifts of all kinds. Witty and inspirational phrases are ever present in this charming store, which brought a smile to my face. The prices were much lower than I expected which was great, even lower than I might find at home in Pennsylvania, especially on the air plants. I have personally never been in the store but happened on it through a web search for my favorite headband brand, Karma.. They also carry a small selection of my favorite bags and products, Blue Q. I reached out to them through Messenger and got a message right away as well as a code for free shipping. The customer service was outstanding and they allowed me to quickly exchange a headband I had an issue with and they have been nothing short of wonderful and personable.
