Louisa's Chocolate Bar — Local services in Cape May

An excellent assortment of chocolates and other goodies! I visit for the chocolate every year. They have chocolate options that are fair trade, transparent trade, vegan, and kosher. I am always looking for chocolates that have real ingredients like spices and dried fruit, and not artificial flavors like Tiramisu or Bananas Foster or with lecithin emulsifiers and other undesirables. I was VERY impressed by their selection that met this. They have a great array of "simple" chocolates that are anything but simple. By simple I mean simple ingredients with just cocoa, cane sugar/maple syrup, and cocoa butter, where the flavor comes from the bean origin/blending. They also have chocolates that have flavors which come from ingredients like cloves, ginger, coconut, dried...

An incredible sensory experience. If you’re a high cacao chocolate fan, this is a destination spot. Their new desert and takeout food section is really wondeful since you can have their chocolate apricot pie (which is INCREDIBLE). For my own sanity, I must assume that something accidentally went terribly wrong with the hot chocolate we ordered at this establishment. A drink so foul could not have been crafted intentionally except perhaps by Jim Jones himself. Please clean your equipment and check the expiry dates on your ingredients before you legitimately poison someone. So comically vile it went beyond funny to literally...
