Review for Phone Repair Service:
I recently took my phone to this shop for what I thought would be a routine repair, and while the initial customer service was commendable, my experience took a disappointing turn post-repair.
When I first walked in, the staff was attentive and courteous, making the payment process smooth and reassuring. They assured me that my device would be handled with care. However, shortly after the repair was completed, I began experiencing issues that I believed stemmed from their work.
Instead of addressing my concerns, I was met with a lack of accountability. The staff suggested that I should consider further repairs, which would incur additional costs, rather than acknowledging any fault in the original service performed. It was disheartening to feel that once the transaction was completed, my concerns were no longer a priority.
In my experience, a reputable repair service should stand by their work and take responsibility when things go awry. Unfortunately, Fix station Capitola fell short in this regard. While the polite demeanor during payment was appreciated , I would recommend seeking a service that values customer feedback and accountability throughout the entire repair process.

Read moreI brought my Google Pixel 6a here to have the damaged screen replaced. A while after I got it back, I realized the screen-based fingerprint reader didn't work well. It worked maybe 25% of the time. I called and was told that I should have requested that the fingerprint reader also be replaced as well as the screen. What!? How would I know to do that? He offered to replace the reader at additional cost. I spent a lot of time and effort researching this and learned that the Google OEM screen comes with a fingerprint reader. In other words, a standard repair with an OEM part would replace both screen and reader. Not only did I not get a standard repair, but I unknowingly did not get an OEM part! And without question, the reader failure was not my fault. Knowing this, I went back and after cooler heads prevailed he offered to order and replace my screen and reader with the OEM part (would be my 3rd visit). It turns out that reusing the reader as he did requires a recalibration which I was able to get for free at a google-authorized repair center (Asurion). That fixed the reader. I then learned that Asurion would have done the repair properly with an OEM part for much less than I paid here! I can't overstate how unacceptable it is to blame the customer as was done, and especially given their business practices. Buyer beware. I will not be returning for the OEM part. I recently sought the services of this phone repair shop, and my experience was quite mixed. Initially, I was impressed with the friendly demeanor of the technician while I was spending money on repairs. I had two of four camera lenses replaced, and while I appreciate the quick turnaround, I was disappointed to find that the two lenses he installed fell off within a week. Ironically, the lenses he didn't replace remain intact, which raises concerns about the quality of the work performed.
Additionally, I encountered an issue when I returned to ask a few questions about my phone after the repair. Unfortunately, the technician’s attitude shifted significantly, and I felt less welcomed compared to my earlier visits. After my initial experience, I noticed my phone now struggles to charge properly, which wasn’t an issue before the repair.
To add to my frustration, I discovered that my SIM card had been inserted upside down, further complicating things. While the technician did offer to assist me for an additional fee, I was only seeking guidance regarding the issues related to the recent repair.
