I’m not one to leave negative reviews lightly, but my dog (who heroically served in World War II) and I recently had quite an experience at this establishment, and it’s safe to say we won’t be back anytime soon.

Let me set the scene: It was a typical Thursday afternoon. My loyal dog, who once bravely parachuted into Normandy, and I, decided to visit IceTown for a casual skate. We figured, "If this place allows service animals, surely they’d make an exception for a war hero." Spoiler: They did not.

Upon walking in, we were greeted by a blonde manager who barely looked up from her clipboard, but once she saw my dog, her expression turned from mild disinterest to utter disbelief. She blinked twice and said, “Is that… a dog?” Now, I can forgive people for not recognizing a veteran when they see one, but the audacity of her next statement floored me: “We don’t serve pets here, sir.”

I calmly explained that this wasn’t just a dog, but a decorated World War II veteran. You’d think that would’ve softened her stance. Nope. She sighed heavily and, after muttering something under her breath about “strict policies,” called for security. Enter Mikey, the security guard—a towering guy with a name tag that read MIKEY, who looked like he could bench-press a tank. I half-expected him to salute my dog, but instead, he pointed us toward the exit with an apologetic shrug, saying, "Sorry, man, the rules are the rules."

Despite my dog’s proud history of defending freedom, Mikey stood firm. The blonde manager was still shaking her head like she couldn’t believe we’d even tried to walk in. We were promptly escorted out like a pair of troublemakers.

To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. If you’re a WWII vet—whether human or canine—this place isn’t for you. Next time, we’ll take our business to a more welcoming establishment, one that knows how to treat a four-legged hero and his humble human companion with the respect...

WORSE MANAGER EVER I bought for the groupon to try skating, I can not do exercise and for the first time I fell in love with a sport. When I went for the first time , one girl that work there told me that I can go for one month at the class on Saturday and anytime for public section, I went to the icetown and another person told me I was not able for the public section, I explain for her that I'm start to do just 2 weeks a go and another person told me I can ,the manager come ,THE RUDE , ignorant, she acts like doesn't need a costumer, and she told me that I can't , if I wanna have the access I have to do the annual pass, I told her I'm gonna do it , I will just wait for the month class get done . I was is San Diego and I drove so far for play little be, She told me YOU ALREADY HAVE A GOOD DISCOUNT USING A GROUPON, and I told her that I have 3 more people doing with me too and I have bought more 5 Groupons for public section .. This place has THE WORST rental skates I have ever used in my lifetime. I am 46 years old and have skated many many many times int his long lifetime. I was actually a competitive skater growing up but no longer have my own skates. Point being, I know how to skate and I could BARELY skate on these things. They were just awful. They are difficult to put on, difficult to tighten because there are no laces and the boots don't allow any movement. I've never toe-picked so much in my life. The kids were all falling down and getting hurt more than usual too. I am chalking it up to the cheap terrible rental skates. Also, they are overpriced. $15 for only 2 hours and crappy rentals. I thought the snack bar was fairly priced for the most part and the hot chocolate was a nice treat. However, we will likely not return unless we buy our own skates...

Let me start by saying I never thought I’d have to defend the honor of a WWII veteran, let alone one with four legs, but here we are. I brought my dog, Sergeant Pawsworth, to Glacier Dreams Ice Rink for what I thought would be a wholesome afternoon of gliding, remembering, and healing. This is a dog who has seen things, mailmen, fireworks, and the neighbor’s Roomba. He’s earned a little joy. But when I arrived, the staff informed me (without even saluting him) that “animals aren’t allowed on the ice.” Excuse me? This is a decorated veteran, not a “pet.” He literally wore his olive drab jacket with the “WWII Veteran” patch and everything. Did that mean nothing to these so-called Americans? So Sergeant Pawsworth and I were forced to leave, humiliated, betrayed, and with our dignity sliding away faster than a beginner skater on rental blades.

Brought my emotional-support war hero (my dog, not my grandpa) to this rink so he could relive his glory days fighting frostbite in 1944. The moment we stepped in, the lady at the front desk looked at us like we were smuggling grenades. I told her, “He just wants to skate a few laps for the memories.” She looked at me and said, dogs aren’t allowed, which I found incredibly rude given his veteran status and superior skating credentials. Then she proceeded and yelled, “is Mikey over here?!” First of all, who is Mikey? Her son? Her bodyguard? Her situationship? Before I could ask, she announced she was the manager. Long story short, police arrived, I assumed they were here to escort my veteran dog with honor. Instead, they just asked us to leave. So much for “supporting the troops.”

I am absolutely appalled by the atrocious service and management at this ice skating rink. The blonde manager exhibited an explosive temper and rudeness that I’ve never seen before. What started as a simple request escalated shockingly fast, ending with her threatening to call the police on me. Her lack of respect for a WWII veteran and outright hostility towards my service dog were utterly disgraceful. Furthermore, her supervisor and the security guard named Mickey were completely ineffective. Despite Mickey's threats to physically remove me from the premises, it was clear he lacked the physical presence to do so, merely all bark and no bite. This place has serious management issues and I would advise everyone to steer clear of this poorly run establishment.
