Roxanne's, A Wish and A Dream — Local services in Carpinteria

If I could leave zero stars I would. My daughter and I live in Carpinteria, combined we spend a gross amount of money on art, crafts, and all things creative in a year. Walking into Roxannes is something we will never do again. The people who work there are rude, stuck up privileged women. They follow you around as if you’re going to steal $8 in quilting materials, ha! Being reasonable we thought this may have been a one time experience, and attempted shopping there multiple times over the past 4 years and received the same ugly service. Hey at least they’re consistent. If you can go elsewhere do, go some where that’s not prejudice, and appreciates their customers. Worse place to shop in Carpinteria, and the meanest fellow “crafters” I’ve ever met….Don’t...

Buyer Beware. I purchased a featherweight for 1600.00. When it arrived and I unpacked it and noticed it was rocking on my table. I saw that the rear of the frame was bent like it was dropped at one time. This irreparable damage was NOT listed in the description, or I wouldn’t have bought it. I called the shop and I was told she wasn’t sure how that was missed, but told me she has 40 years experience with featherweights and went on to gaslight me calling the damage a idiosyncrasy that these machines have. This quilt store looks like the rainbow visited and left it's magic! The people there are so friendly, knowledgeable and willing to share! I saw fabric when I was there two months ago and needed just one more quarter for this quilt.
