Ollie's Bargain Outlet — Local services in Cartersville

You always find a bargain at Ollie's. Sometimes you have to meander & dig but that is half the fun! I received their flyer in my mail announcing the new store in town. What drew my attention was the ad about all kinds, sizes & discount prices on pottery. I am always seeking a bargain on large sized potter to use for plants or interior & exterior decor. When you wen tg to Ollie's for the first time, that is what drew me in the door. And while they don't always have what I want, checking back periodically is a good udea because they're constantly getting new stock.

Their stock includes books, packaged snack food, plastic containers, organizational bins, plastic kitchen & trash bags in all sizes, dog items including food, toys, grooming items, pet beds, stationery items (journals, card stock, pens, paper,) misc hobby items such as glue & paints, candles, spray paints, paint brushes, rollers, hair care products including shampoo/cond., brushes, mirrors, etc., toothpaste & brushes, small auto items (wash, cleaners, rags, scents, steering wheel covers,) bungee cords, all sizes of reinforced plastic tarps, small electrical items, lawn & garden items according to seas ok n, huge selection of quality area rugs, limited stock of vinyl, boxes of hardwood flooring, flooring care appliances, misc furniture, lamps, all kinds of home decor, towels, sheets, pillows, blankets, comforter sets, small kitchen appliances, pots/pans, baking items, kitchenware, two aisles of clothing items (varies often but can include slippers faux Crocs, medical scrubs, jeans, heavy duty work clothes, socks, ladies undergarments,) electronic accessories such as cell phone cords, chargers, converters, hdtv antennas. Etc. Etc. Ad infinitum.

-The layout of the floor remains the same (on the right side of store is books to furniture, back is flooring, left is clothing to bathroom accessories, middle aisles seasonal to automotive.) These basics remain the same but stock is ever-changing.

I have had great luck with most items I have purchased there including a new Bissell carpet cleaner (on sale-$59!), an oriental area rug, quality sheet sets, soft bath rugs & towels, books, journals, brand-name dog biscuits, pottery, kitchen knives, bakeware, tarps, hot tub chemicals, hair care products, dog beds / cool mats, organizing bins, scrubs, etc. I have only had to return one item & I cannot recall what it was but the process was painless.

The only item I have looked for & not found was aspirin. The store associate (they are all very helpful & generally cheerful,) said the only medication items she had seen was Mucinex, cough syrup & the like; but no aspirin.

There is a shopper's club called "The General's Club," which you join by providing your name & mailing information. You will receive advance notifications of sales & don't have to carry your card with you as you can provide the telephone number used with club registration at the checkout.

Momma and I went into Ollie's after eating dinner. It was about an hour before closing time. The first thing I saw was their buckets. Yellow and they are $3.99 each, but have no lid. I got 4 and momma got 6 of them. I found the price much cheaper than other places, without lids. We found a few other things and checked out. This location has a large selection of beach towels. The prices range from $3.99 to $7.99. The small / lightweight towel are the cheapest. I picked out two of the smaller ones. We have a small fur baby, who we take out on the boat and sometimes the baby needs shade and beach towels work very well for that. A great place to shop, the store has humorous posters put up all around, advertising the quality merchandise, basicaly a bigger, cooler version of dollar general. The mascot is "Ollie", who to me, looks a little like Albert Einstein with buck teeth, and the store has a large statue of him positioned inside the entrance, that, combined with the funny posters, it gives the place a friendly feel. The staff are friendly and pleasant to talk to. The store has cooking appliances, toys for the kids, automotive accessories, a small bit of furniture, an as seen on tv section, clothing, books, movies, and much more.
