My husband has worked with Kevin since buying my engagement ring 32 years ago. I absolutely loved my original unique engagement ring and wedding band set. For our 5 year anniversary, Kevin created an anniversary band that fit perfectly with my set. Over the years, my husband also bought me a beautiful diamond heart pendant from Kevin. The pinnacle was our recent 30 year anniversary in which my husband and Kevin worked together to surprise me with a much bigger version of my original engagement ring. It was gorgeous in itself but I felt it needed a different setting as it looked to me like I was just engaged, not married. We went together and met with Kevin where he helped us pick out the most gorgeous setting for my beautiful diamond. I could not be happier with the outcome. I get compliments daily. Kevin and his jeweler were so easy and wonderful to work with to make sure we were happy and that the fit was perfect. In addition to our own experiences with Kevin, our son also bought his wife’s ring from Kevin- a gorgeous lab grown diamond. And they purchased their wedding bands from him as well. Kevin has become our family jeweler and we could not be happier with him. We would all highly recommend Welsh International for their beautiful diamonds, knowledge, professional service, and very...
Read moreI just got off the phone with someone to inquire about a resetting and the person I spoke to was incredibly rude and condescending. His tone of voice was very off putting and no matter how good he might be at his job…this is not someone I would want to work with. People need to feel assured and build trust with the person handling their precious jewelry. Not everyone that comes in is going to know the process. Even if people ask dumb questions, as a business owner or employee you can’t be dumb enough to not be aware of your tone and attitude or dumb enough to forget that people can leave reviews. Anyways I had the complete opposite experience when I called Kyle from Bluestone Goldsmithing in Baltimore. He was so patient and kind and gave me multiple options. I would recommend taking your business there instead because you will be taken care of! I would highly recommend the owner or employee also give Kyle a call so you can learn some etiquette on how to speak to potential customers and how to properly walk someone through their inquiries in a respectful way. I might not be aware of all of the things a jeweler does but I know customer service goes a long way. I’m not the only online review that mentioned how rude this guy is but just give them a call yourself...
Read moreI was very disappointed in my brief interaction with Kevin. I made an appointment to get my engagement ring resized. As Kevin is looking at my ring he asked me what kind of stone is on my ring, when I replied that it is a salt and pepper diamond, he chuckled and made a comment about how people will name diamonds anything to sell them. I brushed this off, as my ring is non-traditional and not everyone’s taste. He then inspects the ring and tells me there is “a chunk missing.” I asked what that meant and he just repeated himself in an extremely condescending manner and said “it means a chunk is missing.” Kevin then went to the back to speak with someone out of my eye sight and asked them if they had heard of a salt and pepper diamond, I couldn’t hear the reply of the other person, however, I heard Kevin say that is was “a low quality stone.” At this point I am feeling very insulted, so I tell Kevin that I will take my ring somewhere else and that he is being rude. He said, “oh I’m being rude?” I replied yes and walked out. I chose to take my ring to this store initially because of all of the positive reviews, however I left feeling disrespected and insulted. *Kevin also commented on my clothing choice as soon as I walked...
