They know how to take advantage of the customer. I took my laptop in and was told I would hear back from them in 1-2 business days. Three days later, I called them and they said they hadn't gotten to it because it usually takes 3-4 business days. After a week of not hearing anything, I called them, and was told they were just getting to it and would call me back at the end of the day. They did, and told me that the replacement they needed to do would cost me $125. After getting off the phone I looked up the part and it was $10 to order it directly. I then talked with a friend who used them to fix a phone, and she also had a horrible experience. They never called her back with an estimate, and after a month of having her phone and not hearing anything, she went in. They told her they had lost her phone, but after hounding them, they finally found it and told her it would cost $200 because they had already fixed it two weeks prior. She said for the cost of the phone she never would have agreed to the fix if they had called her with an estimate as they had agreed on, and if she had known about the hassle she had to go through to get her phone back for such a simple fix. I confronted them about the cost of my laptop fix, and they gave me the runaround saying because of labor it would cost $100 more than the part was worth, and the part they were ordering was going to be more expensive than what I had found online anyways. I told them this seemed steep, and they told me to agree to the price or not get it fixed. That's exactly what I did and will be looking for a company who values customer service to work...
Read moreFast and friendly staff but appeared overly knowledgeable until they actually got to work. I had an overheating processor in my laptop and took it in to get it checked and fixed. They replaced the thermal paste and checked the fans (all well and good). I asked them what they did to check and they said they ran a 4K YouTube video on it for 2.5 hours. Doesn’t make any sense to run that to check an overheating processor on a non 4K display. I took it home and checked it to fan it ran hot still. I heat baked the new thermal paste using Furmark and Prime95 and now it’s cooled down. Surprising to a tech not use these standard tests before sending a repair back out. Overall a good experience and still have a laptop but do not recommend if given a...
Read moreI don't want to be too hard on these guys, because they were nice and very polite. I have a laptop with a broken screen and hinge. They refused to work on it because there's too much "liability" or something like that. Weak sauce. So I took it over to A+ Psychlone Computers. This guy is a stud. He was totally willing to repair it for me, but he suggested looking around for a new one because there are so many great deals right now. He wrote down all the specs for me on a card so I could get something equivalent. So if these guys can't or won't cut it, I suggest checking out A+ Psychlone Computers. Weird name, but there is a reason he has all five...
