Kohls hired a company called the retail equation. This company has convinced Kohls to deny returns that FOLLOW THEIR POLICY. I personally have never returned anything without a receipt and on time. Suddenly they said I couldnât return a DEFECTIVE purse, ordered online, with receipt. I DID NOT get a verbal warning. In the past couple of years I shopped for my elderly grandmother, my two kids, myself, my husband so maybe use some critical thinking skills when you look at a list of returnsâŚâŚmaybe they are for multiple people in a family. I admit, I did things like purchase 10 pairs of shoes so my 95 year old grandma could find a pair that were comfortable. I did the same for clothes. I told the cashiers exactly what I was doing. I also admit I returned 9 pairs of shoes and multiple items of clothing and explained to the cashier why. My grandma canât go to the store like so many others that are home bound, so congratulations you have made it harder for the elderly to get things they need from your company!! Shameful! I also did the same for my mom who had Alzheimers. Some of my returns were because I received dirty and /or defective stuff from orders online. Lack of packaging is why for most. Delicate items like bras came snagged and dirty thrown in a box. I received sizes I did not order. Do you expect me to keep wrong sizes? I did order some things on accident because the items were in my cart. My bad! I pointed all of this out when I returned the items. How exactly are we to shop online without having returns when the store doesnât have it to try on or to look at colors and styles? I am now stuck with a DEFECTIVE purse. How is this even a business tactic? Who would think it is a good idea to not allow valid returns abiding by the company policy? Customers wonât go back concerned it will happen because no guidelines are provided. Kohls refuses to tell customers how many VALID returns are allowed which is extremely unethical. I did the dispute process which is a joke. Kohls confirmed I had too many returns. How many is too manyâŚ..no one will ever know. Are you forcing customers to keep merchandise to increase revenue? That is sure what it seems like because I am not a criminal or...
Read moreYesterday, I came in to get my dad some birthday gifts. Being a huge Hawks fan, I know Kohls is the best place to go. All of the menâs team apparel had sale signage above it stating items were $5-$21 which is a great deal. I purchased 3 items from the displays marked. After checking out, I noticed my items didnât ring up the sale price. I asked the cashier about it and she called over a man who basically blew me off and said âwe sell it for what it rings up as.â I was in a hurry, so I called the menâs department a little later and the girl working verified the signage was posted, but that they werenât actually on sale. She seemed like she wasnât sure how to proceed, so I called customer service to see if I could get a refund. They said I can go in the store and have someone speak to them on my behalf to discuss return options. When I went in today, I was greeted by a very kind woman named Barbara (name tag said Dewitt, IA) who Iâm assuming was a manager. She was SO KIND! She treated me with so much respect and even gave me a better deal than I was hoping. Fantastic recovery from a very...
Read moreI opened a Kohl's charge account since I would save a lot of money on my $400.00 purchase. What a mistake. They are very misleading in their delivery of the monthly statement, it is neatly embedded with other promotional emails that I don't normally read. I get it, that's my fault because I didn't read each email, one of which contained my statement. There is not a notification if you miss a payment, so I became past due, when I came across the statement showing the past due amount, I immediately researched it and found out I was in fact past due. I called them up gave them my banking info to pay the account in full, fees and everything. The payment was acknowledged and the account closed. One week later I received a text to tell me to call them, so I did, turns out the banking info was entered in error, payment denied and they charged another $25.00 return fee. Not my fault, I called them, gave them my banking information, they confirmed it was paid and the account was closed. I had a $54.00 balance due, after this debacle I paid almost $90.00. That's how they...
