Terrible retail policy on returns/exchanges. Just spoke with one of their floor managers, Anthony, regarding an exchange for an early swimmers life jacket for my 2.5 toddler that started to untether around the seams around the arms/chest which was purchase 1 month ago and only worn twice. Anthony informed me that their policy on returns is that Dick’s can only exchange/return new/unused items with the tags still on. Basically so they can restock and resell. That’s ridiculous! Basically, they’re saying that they accept Zero accountability and honor no part any manufacturer warranty or offer no reassurance in the quality of the items they choose to sell the consumers. Any other major retailer would simply exchange an item like this and comp/damage out the item with the manufacturer as opposed to putting this off on the consumer. Unless you’re personally familiar with the brands being purchased as Dick’s, be aware of the quality of the products...
   Read moreThis is a large store and very well organized. Only problem is it seems to be short staffed and it’s apparent the floors and fitting room walls are not being cleaned. There was old gum and sticky substance on the floors in the shoe department. Lots of boxes of tried on shoes just sitting on the benches and hadn’t been put up. Two of the four fitting rooms were out of order, resulting in long lines waiting. The fitting room had dirty floors. Some dried liquid on the door and walls and lots of dust on the light fixture. Like it had not been cleaned in a month. And lots of clothes left in by customers. The bathroom was even worse! Disgusting walls and floor. Long lines at the checkout with only three checkout people.
Overall, this store needs a good floor cleaning and dusting. And needs more employees as it seemed...

If you buy something from Dick's and 8 hour later it is obviously faulty, Dick's will not accept a return or an exchange (even with the receipt). There is no reasoning with the store manager. There is no reasoning with their customer service phone line. They will just hang up on you after telling you "sorry". Same for trying to chat with their customer service. Dick's will refer you to the manufacturer of the product. They put the onus of dealing with the defective product on the customer. They make the customer do all the leg work behind working with the vendor of the defective product... even though the customer gives the money to Dick's and not to the manufacturer. Do...
