Never have I experienced this at ANY World Market! On 11/17 I went to look at the Everett table. I really liked it. Emily helped us. She told us the burnt Alder was not in stock, but we could do in store pick up. We decided on it. Another associate rang us up, who indicated she was Emily's roommate. I expected a two week turn around, but instead its been 3 weeks of misinformation, no information and no real customer service solution!!!! I call back today and Emily actually answers!! Well...guess what I get after further review on her part "the associate who checked you out that day, charged you but never put the order in". I'm baffled!! Like SERIOUSLY???? How are u able to charge someone $225.15 and NOT put an order in???! Uh, I don't about you all, but that sounds illegal to me! The associate, I'm told, is no longer working there. We'll I sure hope not! The problem I have is don't retail stores do a transaction check? Like how can you have a $225.15 payment with no merchandise?!!! They should be able to see what was included in that charge on their end right? If they see ZER0...NADA...they should contact that consumer immediately or refund the charges. Getting me a refund, is easy. I was hoping the solution would be, let us ship you this order ASAP. Go above and beyond to make me feel like a valued customer - that's how u get repeat...
Read moreA long time customer of World Market, I will never shop here again. After an "inventory error" (their description), a 2 hour in-store pick-up was cancelled after two days. This, because they never had the inventory in stock that was indicated on theri website. Okay, inventory snafu's happen. However, after World Market canceledmy order via email, I was also informed that my funds would not be released for 72 hours, eventhough they never had the product that I purchased. It's 'their policy' to hold your funds, even when they've cancelled an order that they never had the ability to fulfill (their error). I have now spoken to rude store employees who, instead of answering why there is still a hold on my funds, repeatedly (and snidely) repeat that it took them two days to go through their pallets to discover that they didn't actually have the product. One Customer Service rep is amused by my asking why it takes them 72 hours to release my funds. I will never shop at this store again, and I'd caution anyone else who makes an online order. Apparently, their website says that that have things that they've never received in stock, and they place an extended hold your funds, eventhough they literally never had the product to sell. Truly...
Read moreOkay, Cost Plus World Market, I'm speaking for thousands here: you need to sell your seasonal coffees year-round. No more seasons. And add a little more bourbon flavoring to the Bourbon Pecan coffee. It's tasty, but some of us of certain heritage may be tempted to add real bourbon to ours. It's something some employers frown upon, so do us a solid and up the game, okay? Okay.
All right, Google, I'll get to the a total review.
Craving amaretti cookies? A little marzipan with dark chocolate? Some bagged coffee, perhaps? You're in luck. I've been shopping at CPWM for quite some time, including a time before the current name/incarnation. It's one of the few places I gave kept returning to enough to mark it in years. They have a wonderful selection of tasty treats from all across the world. It's odd to me that Google says they are a furniture store. Yeah, okay, they sell some home decor stuff. But, marzipan! I can't cook certain Italian desserts with furniture. Please. A bottle of vino not found in every store in town? Check. Hand/bath soap that smells of fruit? Yes! A few of my favourites were purchased there.
Set aside some dedicated shopping time. Take a break and browse....
