Ordered carpet 8/2024. Called to see what was taking so long, only to be told it was sitting in their warehouse. Scheduled to be installed 10/1-2/2024. No one showed up on the first. I called, received no explanation, was assured they would come on the second. They weren't here by noon. I called again. They came at 11:30 and did a 2-day job in 4 hours. I believe there is a huge gap in communication and scheduling here. After 6 weeks of waiting for a phone call we had requested 3 times, we called about several issues. Someone was sent out to glue and repair some areas that were missed. He asked how old the carpet was. I said it was installed in October. He thought I meant the previous year, 2023. That is because after just 6 weeks, it looks worn. He was shocked. He reported this to Bryan, who came out to check for himself. He said the carpet needs to be vacuumed 3-4 times a week. He also said the seams not be noticeable after a time. He said he would check back with us after the first of the year. It is now 2/2025. Haven't heard anything. Seams still show and looks even more worn. My research shows me Shaw carpet has issues. Tip bloom is when the fibers bloom or bush out. This was never mentioned before purchasing. I would think the more you vacuum it, the more it will bloom. Bottom line is..... I cannot recommend Shaw carpet. Do your research BEFORE buying. EDIT: Carpetland offered to replace carpet after reading this review. But only with more Shaw carpet. After reading volumes of negative reviews concerning Shaw carpet, why would I want more of...
Read moreSTILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND. Took the family to shop for carpet here a few weeks ago. Our basement is being finished so its really easy, it was however too complicated for CarpetlandUSA. We needed our stairs and main basement area carpeted and some linoleum for the bathroom. We shopped and picked out what we wanted, the salesman said he would write it up and call the next day with all the details and we can talk pricing. Pricing was more than we thought so we went with a lil cheaper carpet so we could get the linoleum we wanted. I go in and pay half so they can order the materials - they call a few weeks later to set up installation. I ask is this for both the carpet and the linoleum - to which they act like I am making stuff up. They claim I did not pay for both, only the carpet. This is ridiculous, it was one job, two materials, when we discussed price we talked about robbing peter to pay paul and now they try and pull this? We eventually had to cancel the entire job, and are currently STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND SO I CAN SHOP AT A COMPETITOR. We wont ever step back into this store - unless that is the only way to get my money back.
UPDATE 10/5/217- BEEN A WEEK AND NO RESOLUTION. NOW THEY ARE CLAIMING THE CHECK IS COMING FROM CLINTON IOWA. IT TAKES 1-2 DAYS TO GET MAIL FROM THERE, ONCE AGAIN THEY ARE LYING. NEVER GO...
Read morewe spent over $14k on new carpet and tile. when we got home, we could"n' shut either bathroom door due to carpet being installed to far into a bathroom and a flashing over the entrance to another bathroom. We are able to lift the carpet in one of our rooms 2-3 inches off the floor. The tile work in one of the bathrooms looks like a jigsaw puzzle. When we called the store, the Asst. Manager/salesperson we dealt with told us to hire a carpenter to fix!! No apologies no offer to fix. Still waiting to see if they fix. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone right now!! Hoping to talk to corporate soon.
The manager, Brian, came to our home last night and came up with options to fix our floors!! He did a great job explaining each option and has started the process to get the problems fixed. Very professional!!...
