I’m in love, and I may be in trouble!!!!

I had no idea this place was near the Arc thrift store and vasa fitness —2 places I frequent. Today, I was running around looking for plants and ended up in wheat ridge. I unfortunately didn’t find what I was looking for. I forgot that I had put in an inquiry on the plant gallery’s website, and I got a text from the store! At this point I’ve been going around town looking for a specific snake plant, so part of me lost hope. We texted back and forth and they had what I was looking for so I drove 40 mins back to centennial, and was so happy to find this little gem! I’m at awe at how welcoming and beautiful this shop is. It’s the same feeling you get when you go to See’s candies! Friendly atmosphere and amazing variety! I just got so excited like a little kid. I usually feel intimidated with smaller shops, and not knowing what most of the plants we’re, but the lady (I think she’s the store owner) was so sweet and helpful! You can tell she knows her stuff!!! 💕

They have so many types of plants —you can tell they are well taken care of (previous places I visited had a lot of leaf rot) , plus their prices are very reasonable. I usually get scared to go into smaller places thinking it’d be more expensive, but nope this place is comparable to the larger businesses. I came in looking for a fernwood snake plant and they had a ton of it in different sizes! P.S. if they don’t have it then, they can order it for you!!!!

I was holding back, trying not to buy everything in the store as they were closing in 30 mins! The lady was so sweet and offered to re-pot the plant for me, as I had imagined it in a rectangular pot!!! She did so amazing! I will definitely come...

THERE IS A DOG IN THIS SHOP THAT WILL GET IN YOUR SPACE WHEN YOU ENTER. THE OWNER HAS NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR PERSONAL SPACE OR HEALTH. BE WARNED

Warning anyone who is allergic to dogs or doesn't like them or can't stand the smell. Be prepared... I had to scrub down my arms after being in the shop, I must have touched something the dog rubbed on because my skin broke out SO badly. But of course... rich white women in Colorado gonna rich white woman.

OMG... the prices here... what are these people smoking. $99 for a string of pearls plant. The pothos plant prices... you have to just laugh.

I kept hearing about this place from plant people on FB. I have to guess the only reason people praise the shop is because the owner runs the FB group because I was in SHOCK at how incredibly overpriced everything was. Like... wow. These plants are not this expensive... what are we really funding here?

I think what you're really paying for is the very "rich white ladies who like to do yoga" vibe of the shop and not for the plants. Some unfriendly women were in the back room with the humidity cabinet plants whispering and gossiping this morning too... not a good vibe at all.

Anyway... I'm sure it's fine if you want to meet up with Becky and Karen after yoga and look around. But as for actually buying anything... you can find better prices without feeling discomfort from gossipy employees...

I am giving them a one star for rudeness and customer service. Nice plants though. My daughter has been going there since she got my mom's genes of being a green thumb. My son and I went there today to get my daughter a plant for Christmas. Before walking in the store, we did not see a sign (from outside) stating "Mask is Required". So, we walked in and was greeted by "you need to wear a mask". I proceeded to say that we did not see a sign outside. Then the lady with red hair stated that "there is a big sign that states to wear a mask (inside the store) and last time I put the sign out people stole my masks". I told her that if you put a sign outside the door then people will use their own mask (instead of leaving them in the car) and they do not have to provide mask for the public (saving the trees). After I checked out, and asked for a paper receipt, she proceeded to say that "it cringes me that I have to print paper and the thought of them coming from the trees". Hmmm, but they purchase and provide masks to the public. Nice, but aren't masks made out of paper as well? I could have used my own mask and prevented using one of their masks and, thereby, save a tree. We will not be going back to that place at all. Hopefully, I can convince my daughter to do the same. Merry...
