One star is giving them way to much credit. My daughter payed over $400 fir my grandsons birthday party of 10 children. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE many of the games did not work. There is a huge bouncy house slide in the middle of the place HOWEVER to enter the children must purchase Chuck E Cheese socks at $10.00 a pop they cannot just wear their own. The pizza was cold ans curling because it had been sitting out long before served. Two days before the party they called my daughter to tell her due to supply there were no goodie bags they could supply, so she went out and purchased goodie bags only to find out the day of that they indeed have CHEAP TRASH goodie bags the items were so cheap ans flimsy that they were not appropriate for toddlers and disappointing to older children, several just left them there. In the end (with most of the guests donating their tickets to the birthday boy) for 5000 tickets he chose a projector light. It did not work my daughter would have just thrown it away and be done with it but to him he worked hard to get it and was very proud of it. I took it back and spoke to the manager (this light can work on batteries OR the provided cord) I told her the cord did not work, she got a ladder and climbed up got a new one and went in the back, she came back out and said this one will work I put batteries in it. Luckily I went out to the car and checked the cord IT DIDN'T WORK! I went back inside pointed out the first line of the directions showing her that it was to work with batteries or the cord she again went into the back and said THIS one will work. I replied "you told me that with the last one are you going to check this one before I leave?" She says no I just gave you your original back with batteries. " SERIOUSLY?! Um ya we were too stupid to try batteries, she tried to pass the broken one off as the one she had climbed up to get! There was no empathy or even a customary customer service apology for the horrible party, nor any shame for trying to pass the broken toy back to me. First we are not going to keep putting batteries in this trash and second there is no screw to secure the batteries the child can take them right out (no age warning on the box). There are not enough words to express just how bad this was!... End note as I handed my grandson the new one this morning the top popped right off... I sat it on his dresser and balanced the top on it then explained (the best I can to a toddler) that it has to stay right there, we can't move it or touch it... Guess what he pushed one of the buttons to change the setting (as he should be able to do) and he had to come have me put it back together so we have that to look forward to several times a day until we can sneak it...
Read moreFirst off, for background, I used to work for CEC, so I have a VERY good idea how the place is supposed to run and this location was a disgrace. 1.No one at the front door to invisible ink stamp hands to ensure the kids went home with the right person. The girl at the register just waved people in while taking orders with an absolutely disgusting hooded sweatshirt with food all over it. Almost lost my appetite. We had a digital coupon for an upgrade on a pizza. After trying to do the discount for a couple minutes she went to get help. The girl who tried to help showed her how to do it, left, and then the girl deleted the order, had to start over and still couldn't figure out out. She went to get someone else to help. After patiently waiting, the mgr finally came out and put the order through. UH OH! We have a gift card. Well, now we're waiting again. She (Kharma) doesn't know how to apply the gift card. SEIOUSLY! My partner wanted an alcoholic beverage, but that would take another 15 minutes because the employee wasn't 18 (not her problem) so she couldn't serve it. We try to find a place to sit and eat. It's 7:45pm on a Saturday. It's EMPTY, sweet, we have multiple options. If only it were that easy... EVERY SINGLE table next to the games were dirty. I mean... come on! The buzzer goes off for our food. My assumption is to pick it up at the counter despite NEVER having done that before. Basically, walked in the kitchen and grabbed the food myself?? Honest, I wasn't sure what to do at this point? The pizza was decent. I watched as the front door continued to not being watched, but, there were two employees playing in the trampoline and ninja run. Playing swords with the foam rolls. AND! MOST IMPORTANTLY! The lights were not working on the outside of the business so you couldn't see where you were walking only for my son to fall on the curb and hurt himself.
Considering ALL of this I spoke with the manager and all she could say was, I'll talk with her and I'm working on the lights....
Are you kidding me? It's no wonder the place is empty on a Saturday night. SMH This really makes me sad. I was embarrassed to say I worked for this company at one time, especially to my kids. Why would their mom have ever worked at such a horrible company? I could at least take pride in working at Casa Bonita. My son cried. The kids should never cry where a kid can be a kid. I have video and pics of you want them. I hope whoever runs this location cares about their store? BTW, 1.5 hrs later, the girl was still wearing the...
Read moreThis place is okay compared to other kids places in Parker and Centenniel (Monkey Business, Urban Air, Lava Island etc.)
Pros: they seem to have stepped up their safety (a little), there are a TON of games and there is a salad bar for adults/older kids. Birthday party setups get to see the actual Chuck E Cheese mascot and they have the more senior workers up front.
Cons: the staff is mainly a bunch of teenagers who are just trying to get through their shift (with the exception of the sweet, helpful older woman running the front and few others). The place was only semi clean. The bathrooms were pretty gross and unkept, and there was absolutely no space for breastfeeding/pumping mothers. There was ONE hand sanitizer machine in the whole building (at least from what I could find), and it was way in the back by the bathrooms and out of sanitizer. Party tables are VERY close together (like maybe two feet apart), so they cram in different parties next to each other (kids, parents, guests—everyone), which makes the experience very uncomfortable and somewhat unsafe. By the way, there’s plenty of room to span parties out, so all of that was unnecessary.
It wasn’t a horrible experience, I mean, we’ve all been to worse places, so all of that probably wouldn’t have bothered me, but the “end of party” experience was probably the worst…
At the end of the party, which ran between 10:00-12:00, the game cards turn off (as expected) and everyone returns to their tables to say goodbye to the birthday family and get their stuff, any presents/food/baby things etc. However, at 11:59, there was a swarm of workers on our table pushing people out so they could set up the next set of parties. They were inconsiderate, running people over, throwing everything out, including the food that a kid was still eating (they practically took it out if his hand!), cupcakes that OUR HOST brought, the little Chuck E Cheese cups that the kids wanted as souvenirs—I mean everything. They were literally pushing and swooping people away from the tables and it was infuriating. I was so worried that they threw away my purse, so I was freaking out. We’re parents with little kids, it’s going to take a minute to get all out stuff together.
So, not horrible, but we probably won’t...
