My family is Thai, and we've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants in Denver over the years. The food at At Nine Thai is just okay. The flavors are close to being accurate, but just missing that little extra push to taste really authentic and to be really tasty. The fried dumpling skewer was interesting and perhaps the best part of the meal. Another issue was the service. We had two waitresses, and one was polite, the other was not. My parents, who are over 55yo, asked for a paper menu. Instead of providing one and stating there may be some difference vs the online menu, initially just refused to provide paper menus. After discussing this back and forth, she simply reached for the table next to ours and provided menus, with quite a bit of attitude. She could have simply provided the menu, which was easily accessible, without the attitude and back talk. After that encounter, all future interactions with that waitress was were rude.

Hole in the strip mall Thai place. Feels sort of Thai, sort of Chinese. I can't put my finger on why. Not many tables full for a Saturday lunchtime, only one server. I ordered tom kha gai and pad thai with tofu. The tom kha was over seasoned, clearly from some sort of store-bought paste. I loved all the fresh vegetables in there, but too much tom kha paste and not enough authentic Thai spice is sub-par. The pad thai with tofu was perfectly done noodles along with very fresh toppings of peanuts, bean sprouts, lime. I have noticed that on the beach in Thailand you can get either ketchupy or tamarind styles of pad thai. I sort of like both - this was the ketchupy style. It was good but one-dimensional in flavor, needed some chopped chiles and something more acidy to make it great. Still, nice try. Service felt very langorous but friendly. Place is safe but not great in any category.

Food was alright compared to other thai places in Denver. Drunken Noodles with shrimp: This was so good. Right on flavor and taste. The shrimp was perfectly done. Spaghetti Kee Mao: This was okayish, very strong on soy flavor is what I felt. Theres minced chicken and veggies. Thai Ice Tea: Okayish. Very sweet. If the sweetness were little less the tea flavor would’ve come out. But not bad. Roti and Ice Cream: Its basically roasted flatbread made with All purpose flour cut in small triangles served with icecream. Something about the flatbread dint feel right may be the oil (Its called Roti in Indian cuisine too). If it were butter roasted it might’ve tasted better but that’s my opinion. However this was the first time I tried it was okayish. Overall nice flavors, should try other menu items.

We wanted to love it, but were beyond let down. One of the worst experiences at any restaurant in quite a while now. About the only thing that seemed to go well was the quality of our Thai tea- it was a cut above, but far from the best. Outside of that, a massive fail. Wontons were underdone & had a stale chew to them, not crunchy in the least bit..and forget 'crab'... there was only cream cheese/onion, crab nonexistent.. The chicken skewers were underwhelming/lacked flavor, but warm I suppose...but, Raw shrimp within a lukewarm (at best) pineapple curry as my fiance's entree ...this was knocked off the bill as she got grossed out almost immediately and we suggested it be thrown in the trash.. this left the terribly bland Pad Thai that was so piping hot it actually seemed to have been reheated to the extreme because it had gone cold due to their immense uncoordination from the start. We split this because we're weren't going to wait another 40 minutes for another entree to come out...the noodles in the pad Thai were half done & had a really awful chew to them. This was a first for both of us, and I've had dozens and dozens of variations of pad Thai. Needless to say, thanks but...

This is my favorite Thai restaurant I've been to in the area. My favorite dish that I've had is the garlic and pepper tofu. It's balanced, wonderfully flavorful, and made with high quality ingredients.

I also love the flavor and quality of the curries, but they're a bit too spicy for me, even when I ordered them as mild as they could make them. This includes the yellow curry, which is their most mild curry. This is coming from someone loves the spice level of sriracha.

I will also mention that I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is very clean, nicely decorated, and clearly very loved.

The service was also great. When the curry was too spicy for me, they brought me some cream to add to it, per my request. When that didn't cool it down, they took it back to the kitchen and brought it back, tamed down a bit. I will also share that each employee I've interacted with is professional and friendly.

I will continue going here while I still live in the area. I look forward to trying their...

My husband and I had a free night and couldn't decide on dinner. We don't have good Thai near our house so we quickly looked up a place nearby and this is the place that popped up on Yelp. Walking in the front door it looked like it would be nice but the place wasn't set up well and it felt like all the tables were pushed to one side. The staff was very nice but the food wasn't great. Had Pad Thai, teriyaki chicken and Pineapple Fried Rice. The rice was not quite average and the teriyaki chicken was overdone and cold. Nothing special about the pad Thai but it was a little heavy on the fish sauce. I love to support the small places but I won't be back. Oh! Also, they didn't bring a bill so that you could make sure that your total was correct. They came with a wireless device and told us the total and gave us a copy of our bill/order after we paid. It was so eerily quiet in there with 4 muted televisions playing different shows. No music or ambience to cover the clanging of...
