Review for Victoria’s Secret – Poor Customer Service Experience - The Shoppes at River Crossing, Macon Georgia

I recently visited Victoria’s Secret with my mom specifically to purchase the Bombshell and Bombshell Passion perfume and body lotion. The advertised promotion at the time was “Buy 2, Get 2 Free.” Unfortunately, the Bombshell Passion perfume was not in stock during our visit.

Without us even asking, a sales associate assured us that the Bombshell Passion would be available on Saturday, December 28, and that the items we wanted—along with others—would be 50% off on that date. She also promised us that she could hold our selected items until then and wrote my mom’s name on the hold slip, dated December 28.

We returned on December 28 at 11 AM to pick up our items. To our disappointment, not only was the Bombshell Passion perfume still out of stock, but the promotional sale was no longer valid on any of the held items. The salesperson’s earlier promise that our selected products would still be on sale turned out to be completely inaccurate.

Had we been given the correct information during our initial visit, we would have purchased the items then and there, ensuring my mom had what she desired for Christmas. Instead, we left frustrated and empty-handed.

What’s most disappointing is that no accommodations were made to rectify the misinformation provided by the sales associate. This experience left us feeling misled and undervalued as customers.

Victoria’s Secret, if you’re going to offer sales and make promises to customers, it’s essential to honor them—or at the very least, provide some form of resolution when mistakes are made. Stopped in to this location to get measured. I knew what size bra I had been wearing, and hoped I might be wrong? Or that I could find a better fit! They confirmed the size I was wearing to be correct, and unfortunately is not a size that they carry in store. I was told I could order online, when another associate popped over and suggested a "sister size" I laughed at this woman when she suggested I try a DD, and I'd been wearing a B. But I learned that day that the cup size, has nothing to do with your actual size. Its actually related to the band size. I had no idea!!! I tried on what they suggested, and we made a few tweaks and I was able to purchase some bras that were just a bit snug along with some band extenders. I wouldn't recommend going that route however- because the extenders did make the band more comfortable, but I had infinite problems with the straps slipping off my shoulders. But I was able to get a good idea of what I needed, and placed an online order for the appropriate size. If you aren't sure, stop in and have them measure you. They will definitely help you get your girls together and in tip top shape. I had 0 issues with returns, associates offered to order items for me, and everything I have ordered has arrived quickly and exactly as ordered. This store is full of employees that are not trustworthy and possibly racist. My wife was there yesterday and purchased a bras and when she started leaving the store noticed that the employees had given her a different one. When she tried to return it because it was not the one she had purchased, my wife was told to make the line again, which was pretty long. My wife ended returning it and getting here money back, and was pretty upset at the treatment she received.

My wife is Hispanic and has difficulty speaking English at times so I don't know if she was treated badly due to this. We will not be returning to this store ever again, that's for sure. I am active duty military and currently deployed, so I was not present there with my wife, but I have noticed that when in uniform the treatment is different than when I am not with her. If Victoria Secret's treats there customers badly and likes to humiliate them then it is a place that I will not spend a penny ever again.
