Never again.
The short: HORRIBLE customer service. Mediocre food. Having TVs that play sports is not the same as catering toward people who watch sports.
The story: My wife and I went to Glory Days to watch a college football game. It was empty when we arrived and we were seated promptly. Our server was friendly (at first), but we felt rushed to order.. Not a big deal, our team was on the main screen, and we had great seats to watch it. Our food came in a reasonable amount of time, and was cooked fine. Mind you, we were almost the only ones there. Food quality was what you would expect from a sport's bar. Then things went down hill.
A regular walks in and decides he doesn't want to watch our game, and has the channel changed. We ask for it to be changed back and they pretend they can't find ESPN again. Annoying, but not wanting to create a scene we asked to be moved so we could watch on another screen. They grudgingly complied, and moved us to another seat. Eventually someone came over to give excuses.
It was nearing the end of the 2nd quarter of our game and our server asked us if we wanted another round of beers. At that point we had decided not to stay for the rest of the game, and said no. Our server then gets snippy and returns a minute later with waters and informs us that "straws are free". We bent over backwards to accommodate them, bought a reasonable amount of food and drink for the time that we were there, and up until that point had no major complaints with our server. We didn't even bother waiting for the 2nd quarter to end.
Apparently Glory Days just wants to rush you in and out like a fast food joint but still have you pay the premium for service and "atmosphere". They might as well have a drive-thru. Pardon me, that's offensive to the fast food industry as even they can manage service with a smile. To our server, straws are free for customers, but those two cost you part of your tip. (which you're lucky we were still compassionate...
Read moreI am writing this review as I am leaving the place without having been served. Friday evening, not too busy (I saw servers leaning against the seats chatting), and no one comes to seat me and my husband for good five minutes. This waitress or whatever she was was talking to two friends who were seated in the front area, right next to where we were standing and did not give us one glance while we were waiting to be seated. Finally someone came and got us seated, but did not even tell us the usual 'your server will be right with you' as another waiter interrupted him and he just left while talking to his coworker. We took a while to choose what we wanted, but still no one came to our table. We decided that the service won't be any better and left.
We don't expect service like we are at a steakhouse. We realize we are at a sports bar with teenagers as employees, but even that doesn't excuse the terrible service we've received tonight. I cannot tell if the fault is on the employee or the management that lacks training. I've been living in this area for over 10 years and have been coming to this Glory Days since I can remember, but the quality of service is getting worse by the year. If I were the owner of this location and saw the level of unprofessionalism and carelessness like I saw tonight, I would fire every single employee, especially the management. We gave this place another chance after the disappointment from the last visit, and there is no doubt we will be...
Read moreI have used your facility for lunches with my colleagues and guests for the past two weeks and the service and food had been excellent until my last visit. While we waited for the server to take our order he was so engrossed in conversation with the other patrons in the booth behind us that we sat for 15 minutes before he came over. After he took our order, twenty five minutes later I had to have him summoned to change the order to take out because we were still sitting and waiting for our food with no word from anyone. I ordered a Cobb salad and my guest ordered a Gluten free burger and fries. We were able to complete an entire contract review in the time it took to get some attention. The kicker is that there were only six (6) patrons in the establishment; it was 12:30PM on 6/11/15 so it wasn’t that the kitchen was slammed with lunch orders. I was thoroughly embarrassed and had to beg apologies from my colleague as I highly recommended your establishment and insisted that we go there over her preference.
If my children were to offer to take me to your establishment for Father’s Day I would rather have them take me to Burger King. At least I won’t have to wait 15 minutes to place an order and although the food is crappy compared to yours I’ll get to eat before the day is over. I am totally dissatisfied with your service and although the food is extremely worthy of the name of the establishment, I will not be returning...
