CHECK OUT LY YELP REVIEW OF YOU WANT TO SEE PICS OF MY LAZY BOY SOFA
Over the years I went thru a couple rounds of sofa's from living spaces and experienced not that great quality both times. So I thought this last time I will try Lazy Boy. Boy was a wrong.
The leather furniture is really bad quality. Not even several months after delivery the levers start breaking off, a tear, the center console is made of cheap card board and got punctured/dented in.
I would of called several months ago if I knew the warranty plan didn't cover anything. Mitchell at Ultra Vision or ServeCo after a week of not following up is telling me none of my issues are covered. He says only accidentals. That is not true cause my son ran into the center console and made a pretty good dent/puncture on the center console. Which is an "accidental". FYI, the inside of the center console is made out of cheap card board. He was just playing around and didn't even bump into it that hard. Cheap material for premium price I guess.
After nobody from service followed up I called the Cerritos store and got transferred to Elaine (sales manager) and the service got worse from there. I couldn't even have the opportunity to vent/explain what was happening. She would cut me off and rudely say "can I interject." No problem Elaine, go ahead and cut off the customer Elaine. So I let her speak which was a waste of time. Then when I wanted to speak again after she was done I was cut off and I politely asked if I can interject and she wouldn't let me so I had to hang up. Feel bad for Mike that this person is running the store when he's not there. They probably could have better than 2 1/2 stars on yelp.
Mike ended up calling me. He seems more familiar with customer service because out of everybody I talked to he listened the best and attempted to partially help out. He asked me to deal with comfort care first; so I did.
Comfort care asked me to submit pics so they can review them and get back to me with a decision. I submitted them on a Friday and was told I would have an answer Monday. an entire week goes by and they failed to address my issues. I the customer had to follow up again.
After I followed up they were still making excuses and wanted to charge me over $200 for the repairs. Initially I paid for the parts and then was going to pay for the rest when tech came out but I don't think I should have to pay any of the repairs since this is a premium brand and these issues happened so soon and I payed full price for a gimmicky extended warranty.
Lazy boy makes excuses. For example, the warranty is thru a third party company and we have no control over them. Not Mike or anybody at comfort care bothered to reach out to them to see if at least center console can be resolved (something I prepaid a lot of money for). Why make a partnership with a mediocre company. The other one must of sucked to because in less than a year and a half warranty companies were switched.
There is more but I'm not wasting more time. Here are the pics of my sofa that is less than a year and a half old. There is no difference if you get something from Living Spaced, made in China, or from Lazy Boy. Save your money because you will not get better quality from Lazy Boy
This is what I'm left with after not even 1yr and 1/2. Thank you so much...
Read moreDo not purchase any furniture or their Serveco warranty for your products! DO NOT!! Matter of fact, I wouldn't purchase any product ever again from this company!
BUYERS BEWARE THIS WARRANTY IS A SCAM. We know better than buy warranty on products no matter what we purchase, but I honestly thought La-Z-Boy was a top notch company. Oh my God, we spent a total of $24, 445.42 (Leather sofa, Loveseat, Coffee table, End-tables, Dinning table, Rugs, Lamps, etc. ect.)
What a disappointment this has been, and we feel so taken advantage of by the salespeople and thinking their products are top of the line! I am not making this up, honestly!
If you put a plate on the dinning room table it scratches the table and the same goes for the end tables! Believe it or not, we were able to get a Servco rep to come to the house! He took notes and his advise was "ma'am" this furniture is for looks only! People don't really use the coffee tables sit things on, no lie! I was shocked and just for the heck of it I asked about the dinning room table! Where am I suppose to eat dinner? He didn't have an answer and we are sick to our stomach! We had to spend another several hundred dollars to have glass pieces made for the table tops! Do you know how hard it is to clean the glass? But, the hassle of cleaning the glass is better than scratching the tops of the tables! Serveco will give you the run around like you can't believe! They'll transfer you all over the place and you'll never get them to take responsibility for anything! Oh, thank GOD I don't have kids, and I pray to GOD my dogs don't ever decide to chew something!! Serveco will lie, cancel appointments, transfer you all over the place! By the time you have waisted hours of time and energy on the phone with them you'll be so frustrated that you'll never want to call back and I believe that's their goal! I don't know how these people at Serveco sleep at night, NOT to mention the salespeople at La-Z-Boy!
Don't even try asking for a manager, because you'll never reach one! Don't call the La-Z-Boy store either because they tell you they'll research the issue and they'll PROMISE to call you back next week, they don't call back! I was very tempted to drive to the store but I was afraid they'd call the police on me!
DO NOT GET THE SERVECO WARRANTY FROM LAZYBOY FURNITURE THEY WILL TRY TO UPSELL YOU. THE WARRANTY TRULY COVERS NOTHING. GO READ ON THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVING ISSUES...
Read moreI WOULD NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM LAZYBOY FURNITURE AGAIN. We tried to buy furniture from them but everything we liked was not in the right color or size and what we did like would take six months to deliver! We purchased some carpets from them and it turned into a nightmare. We didn't see what we liked in the store so we were shown a catalog. After choosing a pattern we were directed to another carpet in the store that was very thick and nice quality. We paid $99 to have two carpets delivered because my husband is disabled and I can't lift heavy carpets. We also purchased a warranty, $120 for both, thinking we would be protecting good quality carpets. We waited seven weeks for delivery so we were very excited to have them, and the delivery people put them down and left. When we took a good look the pattern was much larger than it looked in the photo and when we lifted the carpet edges we realized that they were so thin and inferior quality. We called the delivery man immediately but he didn't pick up. We called the store and were told the manager would be out for 5 days. When we finally spoke to the manager she said we couldn't return them and when asked for a corporate number was referred to corporate care. We've been going in circles for two weeks and no satisfaction, all they do is keep sending a message to the store and when I call the store I'm told the manager is out and I should call customer care! Basically, it should be "customer we don't care" as they only say they're sorry and refer you back to the store. Nobody will give you any management or corporate contact information either. Their return policy is awful and their customer service is worse. They don't seem to care that they cheat senior citizens, one of whom is disabled. They offer nothing to make it right and make it clear they don't care. I would rather donate the cheap quality rugs to charity and avoid any further frustration and negativity. They are so bad that I can carry two carpets on my shoulder (8x10 and 5x6 carpets). PLEASE DO NOT SHOP AT THEIR STORES....
