Once a regular dedicated customer. In the past 2 years I hosted parties and brought many guests. However, lately the service is SUBStandard to say the least. Food service is slower and slower, ill prepared or forgotten custom orders to burgers, repeatedly asking for Basic table items like utensils and water, entering the restaurant and dirty bar tops. Extra fees that were not explained or stated clearly on the menu. Bringing this to the attention of management I did not receive the proper customer care instead was told that they will talk to their staff instead of really finding a solution for errors with our experience at the restaurant. This past weekend (our last weekend there ) we ordered drinks during happy hour and we invited guests for a birthday celebration. When our guest attempted to order another drink after waving down a server several times, the server told our guest that they would need to drink more of their drink before they could order another happy hour drink (it was literally one beer)HOW ABSOLUTELY EMBARRASSING this had NEVER happened prior. When speaking with management again we were told that this was beverage control. WHAT??? I have been to some pretty high in restaurants and I’ve never had the “Beverage Police” walking around telling anyone that they needed to drink more of their drink before ordering another one. Not to mention the food that was late (appetizers taking more than 30 minutes) on a Thursday night when the restaurant was not even packed. We wished we had chosen another restaurant other than Eureka Cerritos BUT we will not be back and we’ll Discourage all of our friends and local business colleagues from ever spending their money at this...

Always good to have new food options in my neighborhood. Eureka! is a craft beer/spirits restaurant, with a menu that is localized from regional purveyors. I knew of the Bella Terra location in Huntington Beach, but never made my way to that location. When I saw Eureka! would be opening in Cerritos, I was anticipating stopping by & checking it out for myself. The free burger w/ $10 purchase coupon expedited that.
Osso buco riblets Sherry braised pork tossed with firecracker aioli. I found the osso buco riblets to be on the tough side, and not fall off the bone as I expected. However, the firecracker aioli was very good. A bit spicy, it added tremendous flavor to the meat.
Bone marrow burger Shiitake bone marrow butter, charbroiled onion, mustard aioli & roasted Roma tomato, lettuce-wrapped per request & served with fries. The richness of the bone marrow butter on top of the juicy patty was a wonder to behold. The fries were expertly cooked and the entire meal was both satisfying & gratifying.
Service was good. The attendant was pleasant & attentive during my visit. Ample seating via tables, booths & at the bar. Dine al fresco as you enjoy your meal!
Eureka! is a welcome new addition to my neighborhood of Cerritos. The menu, while simple, is a great compliment to all the selections of libations Eureka! has to offer. Happy Hour seems the best time to go, and I'm looking forward to coming in and checking off all the selections the Happy Hour menu has to offer.

Read moreCame by to grab a quick lunch at 11:30 today. The service was very attentive, almost too much. I think they suffer from idle hands being the devil's playground because it became quite annoying. For example asking us how's our food if it was just dropped off. Trying to bus a plate , instead of asking if we're done eating it.
For apps, I got deviled eggs, which were amazing, though you only get 2 halves for $7, and the falafel bites, which were pretty good. I used to make it myself at a restaurant so my standards may be a little high, but it was a little dry, but better than most places I've been to.
I also got the chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was moist, the bread was slightly toasted and the sauce was yummy. Superb job on this plate.
The steak salad I also got was very good. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the combination of bleu, beef, onion, vinegar was good. I typically like my salads more wet than dry, but even this salad was WAY over dressed. The dressing overpowered the beef so much I couldn't taste the steak very much. I could enjoy this salad without the steak, but I'm paying $15 for it, so I want to taste the beef.
So that's half a star off for inexperienced wait staff, and half a star for the food.
All in all, they just opened up and these are easily rectified, I hope to see them improve as I do live walking...
