Frida Mexican Cuisine - Cerritos — Restaurant in Cerritos

I’ve been here several times, usually on a Sunday to hear the mariachi and get the buffet. All the food is pretty good all the Mexican food you can think of, dessert, coffee, menudo, posole, there’s a tacoa outside and fresh tortillas also barbecue ribs. You need to RSVP for Sunday because they get busy or some Sundays and you can take a small group or a large group. Our waiter was good, but then he had to leave and the person that took over and never came to offer us drinks an hour later we had to fetch the guy. It was a little bit annoying, and we didn’t know when our last drink finish for the unlimited margaritas and mimosas. Same thing last time and the girl had an attitude whenI said something to her, but this Sunday was good. Music is good. Take cash if you want to tip them, I will be returning here my bad experience this day was that I smashed my middle finger in the women’s restroom, the first one when you walk in and I didn’t know my friend in our group also hurt her finger. My finger is still hurting right now that I’m having a hard time gripping stuff and I was trying to file a complaint online and I see know where I can file that complaint. So someone came out of the restroom and when I tried to get the door of the door slammed into my finger. There was no spring to slow door down. My finger was swollen a small cut and bruising on the top and the side of my finger and it still hurts now affecting me. Like any place there’s good in bed servers and they may be shortstaffed, but they’re usually courteous...

First time here (and maybe last). Restaurant is nice inside and we arrived a little before brunch ended. We made an RSVP so we got seated right away. As I went to the table, the seats were dirty. Like, as if some sort of drink spilled and was slowly drying and making the seat look sticky. So she got a guy to wipe it. Then the other side of the seat was dirty (I guess they only wipe the exact area you show them.) so as I got ready to sit, the table was dirty. Left over rice crumbs on it. So I pointed that out and she used a wipe to clean it. Finally the server comes over and she brought me a water. I didn’t even know she brought it. I turned around and it was on the table. Then she was on the other side of the table and as I’m looking at the glass, I see a small bug (maybe a knat Idk) going down the straw and went right in the water!!! We’re on a roll so far with this not so great first time visit. She took it away and brought another back but by then I didn’t want to drink anything. My friend ordered a strawberry daiquiri, which came in what looked like a baby tumbler glass (no fancy presentation with the drinks). We ordered our food which was meh, in my opinion. I went to this place this past Saturday and the service was terrible, we walked in as were seated pretty quickly, then almost immediately they brought us chips and salsa, and the salsa was incredible!!! We sat there and finished all the chips and that’s when we realized that it had been 25 minutes since we had sat down, after bringing us chips and salsa, the only person to come over was a woman asking if we wanted our picture taken, nobody brought us water or asked for our drinks or anything, we just sat there for 25 minutes eating chips, the restaurant wasn’t even full or busy, so my girlfriend and I just decided we would give them 5 more minutes before we leave and go to another place. Right at the five minute mark my girlfriend had gotten up to go to the restroom before leave, as she walked away, someone came to the table and asked us what we wanted to drink, I said water cause I was thirsty after the chips, he brought water and asked if we were ready to order, I said I would just take the check and pay for the chips and water and he said it was okay, no payment needed. We ended up getting pepper lunch instead, which is really good!!! 💯
