Chanced upon their IG account while at work and was pleasantly surprised that they have a store close to our house. They are located in the area where BJs, Olive Garden, and TJ Maxx are in Cerritos. It's the area "behind" Los Cerritos Mall. Coming in you'd feel a homey LA vibe from the murals to the light fixture. They have a good range of items to choose from. They've got appetizers, sushi, ramen, desserts, and drinks. Their pork buns are perfection - the pickled onion blends well with the almost melt in your mouth pork. And you can tell that the bao is freshly made. We got a Cajun Ramen and the Ramen dip (more into that later). Unlike other ramen spots, their ramen has less soup/broth but, damn, it packs a lot of flavor! The shrimps and sausages were cooked right and they have good enough corn on it. Ramen dip thing is deconstructed Ramen where in you've got the soup/broth on a separate bowl and you dip your noodles and chasu on it. Serving is just right - not too little, not too big. Also, always get them churros with ice cream. I won't spoil it for you. Just order them and you'll thank me. The price is a bit higher than those in South St but you do get your money's worth. I highly recommend this.

One bowl of the Garlic Truffle and Shoyu Fire ramen bowls, please. My buddy was coughing after taking a few sips of the firey broth during the pandemic and other patrons might have felt a little uncomfortable there lol. We enjoyed all the toppings, including the protein. The garlic truffle broth was thick and rich and the fatty chasu was yummy. It was a single piece of chasu so that was a bummer. The shoyu fire broth is also delicious and if I recall correctly, you can reduce the spice level and request the chili paste separately to add to your desire. The extra chili paste and the pepper is FIRE and will bring up a good sweat. A great ramen shop in this shopping area and a good lunch or dinner spot for sure. Can’t wait to be back and try the classic and tsukemen ramen.

I know this is supposed to be a chain restaurant but it has nothing in common with the L.A. location. The kitchen had an off night the day I visited [this location for the first time]. The staff was so nice to make it right, but I'm not eager to return. They forgot my egg and then replaced my yummy bamboo shoots with sprouts. I didn't ask for any customizations in my soup so I was confused as to where that all came from. Tea was served in mule mugs...is that a thing? Aaaand according to Google, the fire extinguisher is not stored according to code..just FYI.

Now, I don't have to drive to Silverlake, for Silverlake came to me.

Another ramen spot? I'm in! I'm always down for more ramen. Silverlake Ramen recently opened up in my neck of the woods, and I was eager to give them a shot. After their initial soft opening, where they were open 5pm - 9pm, I came in when they started operating during regular hours 11am - 9pm. Upon arriving, I was greeted by the owner, Joanne, and her daughter, Cindy. Having my mind set on ordering The Blaze, which is their spicy tonkotsu ramen, Joanne recommended I also try their creamy broccolini.

Creamy broccolini- What an appetizer! The sauteed broccolini had a nice, crunchy snap. The creamy sesame sauce provided an earthy richness, which I became quite fond of.

The Blaze (spicy tonkotsu)- Spicy pork broth, bean sprouts, spinach, green onions, seaweed & poached egg. Happiness in a bowl, The Blaze was rich, with tender pork chashu. The broth was creamy, and at medium heat, was embellished more with additional dollops of chili paste. The noodles, themselves, were somewhat al dente, and I must highlight the soup spoon that came with the piping hot bowl of ramen. Looking like a miniature ladle for stock, it's large diameter scooped an awful lot of wonderful broth with each swipe.

Service was excellent. I was the first customer of the day, and my wait wasn't long for my food. Warning - Uncensored hip hop/rap was pumping on the house speakers. Various unsavory curse words accompanied me during lunch. Not a parent, myself, I'd feel uncomfortable having little ones exposed to that while having a nice meal. The smallish storefront belies the roomy interior dining room. Parking is at Plaza 183, with Silverlake Ramen situated next to Eureka!

Add another restaurant to my list of tried & true eateries! Silverlake Ramen is legit, and I'm anxiously awaiting trying their tsukemen (dipping ramen). The owner and her staff were exceptionally hospitable to me, equally matching the quality of the food on the menu. I'm planning on being a regular, and I highly recommend you...

The food is pretty good. But the manager happened to be our server for the day, and she was very unprofessional and incredibly rude, I did not get her name unfortunately, she’s a quite short Hispanic lady who wears heeled Dr. Marten boots (those aren’t even slip resistant nor are they proper work shoes), but anyway, she got upset because I asked if the Blaze Ramen had different levels of spice and she quickly snapped with “THERE’S CLASSIC”, and I said, I don’t want classic I just want to know if there’s levels to the spice for the blaze, and she then stated the levels. I also asked for no seaweed and no seasoned egg, but I still got egg in my ramen. She didn’t even bother to check in on my table, and when my mom asked for the check she snapped at her with “you need to wait a minute”, like it was literally the first time we ever asked for the check, and on top of that we were 1 of the 4 tables dining in, but the other 3 tables had already left while we were still eating our food, so it’s not like if they were incredibly busy to not provide the check. And when we finally got the check, the lady didn’t even say anything, she just slammed it on the table without making eye contact either. And when I was ready to pay, she didn’t even help, a person from the back ended up stepping up to charge me...

Do not go here unless you want the worst service of your life that it's comical and lime juice soup. The staff looks so sad and stressed here when it's such a small restaurant.

Let me tell you this was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. We sign up for the wait list. The male server /host was so bad at his job he needs to be fired. He let 7 groups ahead of us as we were waiting in the front. He crossed out our name and thought he sitted us. He sat for 10 minutes and he walked by and said oh the menus. We asked for water 3 times, and a couple of beers. He forgot the beers. He came back after 10 minutes and we asked again and he brought them. He took our order. He came 10 minutes later and said our order got erased and had to reorder. We got our food. He added extra items on our bill. He might have went on lunch or something and we got a girl server. We finished our food and we asked the girl server 3 times for a soup box and she just stared at us grab a soup box and threw it on the table and turned and walked away.

It had to be one of the worst ramens I had in my life on top of that. The broth is sour as heck. It literally just taste like lime juice from the bottle. Ramen is hearty not sour.

They need to hire better waiters...
