TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE if you are new into the TCG world then DO NOT COME HERE!! The man behind the counter disregarded my girlfriends question about a pack of cards and walked away like she had no business being in his store. We decided to not let the rudeness of this man bother us and continued to shop. I asked to see a trainers box that was on the shelf a celebrations Pokémon trainer box to be exact , the man replied with “that’s just a box it’s nothing there’s nothing in it ” ……. Being the avid Pokémon collector that I am I knew this was a lie because of the factory seal and it being on the shelf for sale lol, I figured he thought I meant a different item and will ask again before leaving. I then went on to buy two booster boxes and asked one last time before checking out if I could see the celebrations box ( I own three of these already I did not and do not need another) the man answered with “no” “not selling it” I’m not sure what I did wrong to deserve this treatment or why he felt he needed to lie to me about the box in the first place but we decided to take our business somewhere else and will never be back. Honesty is a huge part in the TCG World and if this man lied about something so frivolous then what’s to say he is not weighing his packs or lying about everything else? So if your a female, new to TCG world , have questions, or want to spend your money THEN...
Read moreI just started collecting pokemon again and used to go here back in the day so I wanted to come back. Their single pokemon collection isn't much. The binders were pretty unkempt and made all the cards look dirty. The cards were all lightly played or worse but they are pricing at near mint. They price the cards based off the highest sold card rather than the average and would not budge on price what so ever even with obvious damage to the card. I definitely overpaid, probably double of what the card is going for elsewhere. Even other items were priced well over what they should be. It was not worth the 30 minute drive and I wont be coming back.
To follow up with the owners response. I got charged for near mint. Which 1 or 2 sold at 30 but most others sold were 20 to 28$ over the past week and a half. And I got into my car i noticed the holo had some scratches and the edges had a couple small Knicks in them. Id consider it being lightly played instead which is selling from 15 to 20$. Driving back over to Delaware 30 mins would cost me that difference plus my time so there is no point coming back. And alot of the "cheaper" cards that were there all looked lightly played at best and were all priced for near mint. I only asked for 2$ off my 35$ purchase but got shut down immediately. So no im okay on coming back. Ill...
Read moreI've been here 5 times now. The staff and people that are there are all friendly, which is the only reason this gets a 2 star review.
When I went to sell 4 binders and 13 Elite trainer boxes filled with pokemon cards (The binders being all rares, the etbs were reverse holos, commons and uncommons) the owner told me the best he could do was probably 150 (the next store I went to with the same items I ended up with about 400 cash and another 200 in store credit). It's fair to say this store has the best prize support for their drafting events, but they are making money off of said drafts as well. This is the only store that charges $20 OR MORE for a draft, whereas other local areas cost $12. The final straw for me was when I showed up 2 minutes late for a draft, they were seating everyone and just starting to pass out packs, and I was told I was too late, BECAUSE IT WAS TOO ANNOYING TO HAVE TO RETYPE EVERYONE'S NAME INTO THE DRAFT. Next time just let me know I'm too late and I'll let it go. Don't tell me you're going to turn me away because you're too lazy to type 7-12 people's names. IF I return here, it will be because there is no where else to go. You will get more bang for your buck LITERALLY...
