Last weekend I got married and wanted my hair and nails done for my big day. While the nails were pristine, the hair styling was so subpar because it seemed like my stylist wasn't listening to my wishes, and she also seemed like she was just rushing through my styling. While I said I wanted something along the lines of "loose curls," my stylist ran with the big, vintage curls look. What really perplexed me was that she made my curls go TOWARD my face, not away from my face. My best friend who was with me had the same experience, curls toward not away from her face, so she ended up having major Elle Woods vibes, which wasn't what she wanted at all.

On to the makeup. On a whim, I decided to go for it and have my make up done between nails and hair, and I legitimately ended up looking like a CORPSE. Like 100% ready for my wake, not my wedding day. This employee also seemed to not listen to my wishes, and decided to "smoke out my eyes" and cake on so much foundation, when really all I had asked for was something "light and pretty" (I had shown her pictures of specifically what I wanted). It was so embarrassing that I ended up scrubbing all of the makeup off my face the second I made it home, and I walked down the aisle bare-faced. The only thing I really regret is that my friend paid for my makeup service, despite it being so bad and something I didn't even keep on my face for my wedding day.

I could never adequately express how I feel about Arra. I have been a client for YEARS and it never fails to disappoint. Starting at the top.... Diana - a woman of exceptional talent, incredible charisma and sweetness (I always tell her that she needs to learn how to say no :), and unparalleled people skills. She truly cares about her clients! And she is a true artist. No one can color, cut and blow dry my hair the way Diana does. All of the supporting staff follow suit.
