update again: it seems my previous orders were a fluke. I just got off the phone with who I believe is the incredibly rude manager, and he was incredibly terse, aggressive, and sighed constantly. I have a lot of respect for people who work customer service. I don't demand a happy attitude or anything at all like that, I know we're all just trying to get through the day, and they probably don't care, but this was a step beyond. When I asked to put a 35% tip on for the driver, he angrily sighed and said, seemingly exasperated "you're trusting me on that one". I said "sorry, do 30 then" and he immediately hung up on me. I have hundreds of pizza points that I've accumulated over the years, but I'm at a point where I would rather avoid the chance of speaking to this person again than get this pizza that I love.
UPDATE: I've learned they're under new management. Every time I've called in an order, the employee has been courteous and meticulous in making sure my order is right. I'm happy to amend my rating to five stars. Thank you Master Pizza!
Extremely good pizza. Unfortunately, they get my order wrong about half the time. I've always politely asked for a replacement, and always felt bad doing it - I love the place. I want them to succeed, but I also need to get the pizza I ordered - I feel like that's a fair request. After enough times, the manager told me that I was wrong. That he did it himself, and I had the right pizza, no matter what was in front of me. I stopped ordering for a long time until recently. I really wanted to give it another shot, but my order was wrong on my third order and I don't have it in me to argue again. I will honestly miss Master - they have a uniquely good sauce and put things together very well, but I've hit the end of my...
Read moreThis use to be one of our "go to" pizza restaurants in the area but over the last year or so the service and quality seem to have really fallen off. I have been ordering from them less frequently since they seem to get my orders wrong, or it takes twice as long as they promise. Tonight, was the last straw! I picked up my order and one of my pizzas had mushrooms on it and I did not order mushrooms. I called the restaurant and told the manager what had happened. I can hear him ask one of the workers what toppings he put on my pizza and of course the worker told him that he made it correctly. He told me that he can give me 15% off the pizza because his guy is telling him that it was made correctly. So now I am starting to get aggravated because he's politely calling me a liar. I told him that I can send him a picture of the pizza right now to prove it and that you are going to refund me the full price of the pizza because it is going in the trash (I hate mushrooms). After a little bit of back and forth, he agreed but now I was so upset at being accused of lying to get a discount that I had to drive back up there I speak to the manager in person. When I got there, I tossed the box on the counter and opened it up and asked him to tell me that this pizza was made correctly with the mushrooms right there in his face. All he could do was keep apologizing. I told him that you do not treat your customers like that! It's unacceptable and I will never spend another dime at that place again. It was not about the cost of the pizza but the principle. I hope the manager learned something from this, but I will not be back there...
Read moreWow. Let me just say that the new GLUTEN FREE DETROIT STYLE PIZZA and CAULIFLOWER PIZZA are THE BEST AROUND. I've been trying to eat healthier while still indulging in pizza and frozen cauliflower pizza has been my "go-to", until now. Master pizza has exceeded my expectations in every way with their cauliflower pizza. It is so flavorful and is crispy without being rock hard. It is amazing. I ordered online and they accidentally gave me a gluten free pizza instead of the cauliflower pizza at first. They let me keep the gluten free pizza anyway. Well let me tell you. BEST GLUTEN FREE CRUST AROUND. When their menu says they have mastered their gluten free crust, they 210% have. You can tell it is gluten free by the slight texture difference if you know how gluten free tastes, however the flavor is unbelievable and the crust is SO FLUFFY. It is essentially a gluten free deep dish and I could not be happier. Even my mom who isn't gluten free loved the gluten free crust more than the regular crust. Master pizza has hit a gold mine with their gluten free crust, and anyone avoiding gluten NEEDS TO TRY BOTH THE CAULIFLOWER(Which is gluten free) AND ORIGINAL GLUTEN FREE DETROIT STYLE PIZZA! Bravo Master Pizza. I will be only buying from you from here on out. Thank you for the pizza and the amazing customer service. Everyone needs to know if you. I am posting this to google and all review platforms that's how...
