My daughter and I booked a Valentine special (A birthday gift for her), 30 minute facial and a 30 minute massage. Since the services were with the same person to follow each other, we were asked if we would like to add on the massage table. Neither of us had used a massage table prior to this appointment, but since we were waiting on one another, we both chose to utilize this time by using the Massage table. As my daughter went first for the massage and facial, I was led to the area where the massage tables were located. I was told to lie on the table, she covered me with a blanket, and said to relax and she would return in 30 minutes. I had layed there for less than three minutes and felt as if I must lying on the table incorrectly as the rollers would stop in the most awkward places. I got up, pulled the curtain back , but no one was there to advise me. My thought was she said to relax, so I lay back down and tried to do so. It was so uncomfortable that again I thought I must be doing something wrong, but she said relax. I continued to push on but was relieved when the 30 minute timer beeped. When she returned and asked how I enjoyed it, I told her it certainly was not a relaxing massage and told her just how uncomfortable it was. Again, thinking perhaps the table was not Adjusted correctly for short people like me. She had no response. When my daughter finished her facial and massage, she went to have her turn at the massage table. Afterwards, upon my daughter learning about my experience, she said she certainly could understand why it would not be comfortable for a shorter person. It was my turn now for the facial and massage. Before beginning my facial This lady as well asked me about the massage table, and my response was the same. Upon finishing our appt when asked by the third lady who checked us out, I had the same response. After I paid and we left, I asked my daughter on a scale of one to 10 how did she like the facial and massage. Her response was the same as mine, a 6 at best!!! I would not recommend this spa, but furthermore, I definitely would not recommend the massage table! The next day, I began to experience pain in my neck, and my daughter was bruised across the top part of her buttocks. This is not just a coincidence, as I have never had neck pain which is continuing three days out. I’m sure both of these are a result of the massage table. As a business owner herself, my daughter commented that she definitely would not have charged me for the massage table. I am not a complainer and don’t ever mind paying for good service, but what we got was certainly not worth $351. In hindsight, I shouldn’t have left a tip, but that’s not like me either. So much for a relaxing day with...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting a spa that left me feeling like a relaxed, pampered potato. Yes, you heard that right, a potato! This magical place had all the ingredients for a perfect spa experience, including a salt room, heavenly massages, red light therapy, and a cozy, low-light ambiance.
Let's start with the salt room, shall we? Picture yourself being enveloped in a room filled with salt… As you breathe in the salty air, you can almost feel your worries melting away, just like the salt on a hot summer day. It's like a beach vacation, minus the sand in your swimsuit. Trust me, you'll come out feeling as refreshed as a pickle.
Now, onto the massages. Oh boy, where do I even begin? These massage therapists had hands that could rival a magician's. They knew exactly how to knead away the knots in my back, as if they were playing a game of "Find the Tension." It was like they had a secret map to all my stress points, and they were determined to conquer them. By the end of the massage, I felt as loose as a noodle, ready to take on the world (or maybe just a nap).
And let's not forget about the red light therapy. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. I mean, who knew that being bathed in red light could do wonders for your skin? But let me tell you, it was like being wrapped in a cozy blanket of warmth and rejuvenation. It's like the spa gods decided to give you a little boost of radiance, making you feel like a glowing firefly in a sea of darkness. Who needs a spotlight when you have red light therapy?
Last but not least, the cozy, low-light ambiance of this spa was simply divine. It was like stepping into a cave of tranquility, where time stood still and relaxation was the only item on the menu. The soft, dim lighting created an atmosphere that was both soothing and mysterious, like a secret hideaway for tired souls. It was the perfect setting to escape from the chaos of the outside world and embrace the blissful serenity within.
So, if you're in need of a spa experience that will leave you feeling as relaxed as a sloth on a hammock, look no further. This spa has it all – from the salt room that will transport you to a beach paradise, to the massages that will untangle your knots like a master puzzle solver, to the red light therapy that will make you shine brighter. And let's not forget the cozy, low-light ambiance that will make you feel like you're floating on a cloud of tranquility. Trust me, you'll leave this spa feeling like a brand new,...
Read moreSadly, I had a very disappointing experience this weekend. I’ve been dealing with a lot of shoulder pain and was hoping to find some relief, so I checked for available appointments and was glad to see an opening for the next day.
The following morning, I received a text saying I had booked too last-minute and the masseuse couldn’t find a babysitter in time. I totally understood and was happy to reschedule, but then they started suggesting alternate times and said she could make it just 15 minutes later than originally scheduled.
I showed up at the new time, but the front door was locked and I had to wait outside until the masseuse arrived exactly at the appointment time- no time for check-in or changing. Once inside, I changed quickly and got on the table, only to lie there for ~10 minutes while I heard the vacuum running outside. Not a great start.
She asked if I had any problem areas, and I clearly indicated my shoulder and scapula. While I was lying on my stomach, she didn’t touch the area at all. When she asked me to flip over, I politely asked if she could focus on that area first. She cut me off mid-sentence and said, “I don’t want to waste time talking instead of massaging” and told me to flip over again.
Once I was on my back, she finally let me finish my sentence. I again explained my shoulder was the issue and reason I came in, and she said she’d get to it on that side, but she never did. She only massaged my neck, completely ignoring the shoulder again.
When she asked about the pressure, I asked if she could increase it a little. She responded that I had booked a Swedish massage, not deep tissue, and that what she was doing would “already affect my body.” I understand the difference, but you’re still allowed to request firmer pressure- there’s a wide range within Swedish massage!
To make matters worse, she brought up no less than three times that I had booked last-minute and how inconvenient it was for her. I’m not sure why the time slot was listed as available online if it was such an issue. And if there’s no cutoff to prevent last-minute bookings, that’s a problem with their system- not something the customer should be made to feel guilty about.
Overall, this was unprofessional, disrespectful, and simply not what I paid for. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating from...
