I absolutley LOVE the Charlestown Mini Super!! They carry some of everything that I could ever want or need whether for entertaining guests for a delicious dinner, to cleaning my house, a greeting card, pet food and "you name it, they've got it. From "soup to nuts", they've got it all and I couldn't be more grateful to Timmy & crew for carrying on after our loss of our beloved Charlie Beck. The BEST "meat at the beach", the BEST fresh daily baked goods, seafood, veggie selection and only the best of the best of all varieties of EVERYTHING that you may need when you walk in the door. And... a helpful and friendly STAFF who greet you with a smile and know your name! Who can beat that!?? And then there's the French Meat Pies... Anyone who doesn't love and appreciate "OUR", Mini Super, doesn't deserve to walk in the door.. The lines at the registers prove it every single day... Sure, it may cost you a few more pennies to get the best of the best and LOCAL, but to me, it's all about the LOVE that I feel when I walk in the door and are welcomed by the staff that know me. I NEVER have to think twice about whether my meat, seafood or produce are fresh or not as it's always TOPS compared to the "big guy" stores in Westerly, Richmond or Wakefield. AND.., IF you do ever have a problem with any of the above (which is not at all likely..) they will readily remedy any problem that you may have, which I might say has NEVER been the case on my behalf... The Charlestown Mini-Super is MY "go to" store and I will be a loyal customer...

An older gentleman had brought his own bags and was told that they would not bag for him if he used his own bags. He then asked for paper instead and the girl behind the counter scoffed in disgust that he didn't want to bag his own groceries (a basic expectation at the supermarket I might add). Then she was incredibly intolerant of him not understanding how to use the credit card machine. She also "joked" that he was trying to steal a couple of items in his cart. After he left she had the nerve to say how "entitled" he was. Her distain for the elderly is something she should be embarrassed about. Have some respect. The store should be ashamed to employ someone...
Read moreWe honestly could not survive without the Mini Super, especially because in a pinch I can walk or bike there, and I despise having to go to Westerly or Wakefield to a corporate grocery store. So many feasts at our home have been created from their incomparable meat and seafood selections, not to mention their deliciously fresh produce (can you say summer corn?!). And letâs never forget the local âstuffâ we canât get everywhere, like the fixings for clam cakes and saugies. Ooh, and the fantastic bakery offerings! Special bonus for those of us who are around all year: the off-season cooked offerings for lunch! I canât say enough how impactful the Becksâ establishment is on our...
