The Corner Deli — Restaurant in Charlestown

Went here with my wife on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30 for a sandwich. We were both already fans of the Corner Deli and the former owner. His sandwiches were delicious, brimming high with quality cold cuts, great cheeses and bread, our only complaint would have been it could get busy and you needed to accept the wait times. New place looks great. Nice remodel. The wait times are the same or worse. I understand that you've got online and phone orders that need to be filled but when a customer walks in and orders one single sandwich maybe prioritize them a little rather than have them wait while you make 50x other sandwiches for customers who are not standing there waiting. That being said at least if the sandwich was great i wouldn't care. It wasn't. It was horrible. My favorite sandwich, the roast beef with blue cheese was gone as was my favorite bread the french bread, and my wife's favorite the smoked salmon with gruyère cheese. So we ordered the Summer Sandwich on baguette. Got home and it was on white bread. The driest white bread I've ever eaten it my life. It made my wife cough it was so dry. Hardly any turkey and barely any garlic aioli dressing to at least help with the dryness. It may have been the worst sandwich anyone has ever made us...

The food was ok The service was terrible They do online orders before your order Even if you order at the counter they make the online orders first. Took 20 mins before I had to ask if they could make my lunch and there response was the orders go in order they are placed. The online orders should be separate from the walk in orders. So I think there needs to be a immediate change with that. Especially having 5 people making sandwiches. They didn't have rolls just bread ??? They also don't have oil and vinegar This is not a deli !!! Very unfortunate they missed the bar. First impression 👎 Also 25 plus for 2 wraps is extremely pricey...

Been coming here for a couple years to grab a sandwich on the way to Charlestown beach. I noticed a change in staff (high school kids) and it totally went downhill. Very off putting when I noticed the sandwich makers handling the money and not changing their gloves. I noticed that last year, decided to give it another try this year which was a huge mistake. I noticed they did not change their gloves after handling money AGAIN. When I went to eat my sandwich, it was completely soggy so I pulled the soggy bread off and saw A HAIR! I’m mortified and will NEVER trust this...
