If we could give a 0 we would my sister gets her hair done her all the time by the owner so she felt comfortable enough to leave her daughter my niece with her on Friday March 15th to get her hair done for her birthday. My niece who is 7yrs old asked for the owner to call her mom the briads were hurting yes she is tender headed like most kids so calling mommy would of made the situation so much easier because the owner was complaining about being a "counselor" because she had to talk my niece through her birthday style. She also made a statement saying, "imma get your mom she didn't tell me you was tender headed I got something for your mommy". What did you have for my sister later she? Later she stated that she was jokingly saying it doesn't matter don't say nothing like that around a kid. On Friday when my aunt picked her up she intentionally said that her hair looked nice but my aunt wasn't paying attention for real her finace was in the hospital birthday party work etc on her mind then she gave my sister a call saying why is her hair so long and why does her broads look old. This DID NOT LOOK LIKE $145 HAIRSTYLE. My sister then reached out on Monday after the long weekend we have 3 birthdays this weekend, let the owner know about her hairstyle and why she didn't send the other $35 because the braids were not pretty the hearts are ugly when my niece saw a video of her hair she said it's ugly and that lady not doing my hair anymore she was also briaidng my niece hair tight complaing about her crying clearly it was hurting. If you have to complain about doing a child hair talking them through it you SHOULD NOT DO KIDS HAIR she became so defensive saying her back was hurting so bad after my niece hair she gotta reconsider doing kids hair etc. Biggest thing for us is she really tried to make it seem like sending her $35 more was a problem $35 is not a lot of money and my sister has been getting over priced HAIRSTYLE from this lady for 6 or 7 months and has never NOT once complained but she did stop going to her for 2 months because the lady was bot braiding to well. Trying to defend her self too much is signs of guilt and I really don't recommend this place and all of our family and friends will continue to blast this lady and her shop because that was a terrible hairstyle on a 7 year old for her darn bday. I will attach a video because we did not take pictures. Also she tries to make you come earlier then your appointment because someone reschedule or cancel on her you can't do that and feel some type of way they can't make the new appointment there original appointment is what they made and clearly want to keep. Lol $35 has our whole family laughing $35 is not the problem the ugly hairstyle is i should of braided...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI booked two services, one was for a retiwst of my sons locs for $50 and the other was for butterfly locs for $240. First appointment was for my son, we arrived on time but had to wait almost 40 minutes for her to finish another head. Once she finished to my surprise she charged me $80 instead of $50 because of length. She stated her prices are starting fees even though that is not listed anywhere on her site. Not to mention my sons locs don't even come past his shoulders so I was confused about the upcharge. If I could have, I would have canceled my appointment after the extra fee but she holds half the appointment fee in the event of cancellations so I would've been out of $120. I texted a week before to ask what kind of hair I needed per her instruction because I order my hair. The beauty store does not typically sale the colors I like. She never responded until the day before and it was 12am, which is certainly not enough time to order hair. Then when she responded she pushed my appointment back an hour. I started that I had kids and needed to be home by 8:30 to get them settled for school the next morning because they had map testing all week. To this, she responded āwe will try our best to get you out on timeā I arrived at my scheduled time and she started my hair, shortly after starting another girl took over. The girl who took over was extremely slow at doing hair and she took about 4/5 breaks before she actually worked consistently. My head was not finished until 9:50pm way after the time I informed her I needed to be done. I did not get home until after 10, had she is kept my original time this would not have happened. Also she attempted to charge me another price AGAIN. This time $280 because of length. However the locs I got were shoulder length, when I questioned the price she then said oh yeah its $240 because you got short locs. I gave a 3 star because I did love the work done on my son and I, but I will not return. Being charged additional prices not listed is a concern and the amount of time wasted is also a problem, not to mention the lack of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got my hair done on May 23 ā human hair mini twists that cost me $585. Within just a week, twists were falling out. By May 31, nearly 20 had come out. I reached out on June 3, and the stylist acknowledged the issue, offering to fix it ā but only on dates that didnāt align with my military weekend-only schedule. Which means what ? That means i had to wait some more to get it fixed.
I sucked it up , told her Iād try to deal with it. But by June 4, got worse . On Thursday June 6 i went to the pool , of course after the pool you wash . I washed my hair and ā 7 more twists fell out after I rinsed my hair post-pool to remove chlorine, and I sent her photo proof. It went from i never seen it like this to your not supposed to wash my hair . When did she tell me that it couldn't be wait for 4 weeks never . However to make it worse, my hair was braided down before twisted. So regardless if it was store hair, Yaki, human , it should have never came out like that.
Thatās when her tone shifted. She went from offering to fix it, to questioning me, projecting I'm the reason my hair is falling out . Mind you the time line š to offering a $50 discount off my style. When i paid $585 originally. ā even though it had already started falling out days earlier.
Communication was also frustrating ā I had to follow up multiple times just to get responses. Replies came hours or even days later, like she was figuring out how to shift the blame instead of owning the issue.
This was not a case of buyerās remorse ā this was a $585 style that barely lasted two weeks. I was respectful, patient, and tried to resolve it directly, especially when i don't even live in the state the shop is in š like who wants to purposely waste gas money in this economy. What I got in return was a lack of accountability, lack of professionalism, delayed responses, and a $50 discount offer that didnāt come close to addressing the loss.
Be cautious before booking. If something goes wrong, donāt expect consistent communication, professionalism, or a fair resolution. Especially when you driving 2.5...
