I stayed at this property over the weekend. I checked into this property at 8:35 pm and went into my room to shower because I drove 5 hours to get there when I went to shower in the bathroom I notice a dirty wash cloth still in the shower that look like someone wiped with it because it had brown marks on the wash clothes there was urine on the floor I called to the front desk to let them know I had a issue and no one came up to asst me with my problems. The next day when I woke up I left for breakfast only to come back at 1:30 and my room is not clean I called to the front desk and explain I was Here on business and I needed to leave but my room wasn't cleaned she explain that she had 50 people ahead of me that need their room clean so I had to wait in line so I explain that my room wasn't clean in the first place so why would I have to wait so she sent someone up stairs and I showed I believe was the supervisor the rag and the urine in the floor and the housekeeping supervisor said " please don't tell anyone because the girl that is doing your room is new " I explained that regaurdles If she is new you should not have checked me into a dirty room. She said she didn't have time to clean my room it was getting late I explain that I had somewhere to be in 1 hour and 3 people need to get dress so she gave Me towels etc but never touched the dirty wash cloth or get the urine up . I shower and left the hotel because I had some where to be. The next day which was my check out date I called to get towels and I waited and hour until I walked down to get them myself and the front desk clerk asked "he didn't bring you towels ? I explained no she called over the walker talker and he said oh I thought you said another room so I had to walk up stairs to meet him to get towels. I asked to speak to the housekeeping manager and I explain to her all my concerns and she was nice and very concerned and I showed her pictures and she was shocked her self. I also over heard the front desk talking about taking my email out so I would not give a survey about my stay but what they failed to realize was that I could call Marriott complaint because this is not their standards. I am shocked that this is a Marriott property I normally stay at Marriott city center because they are very classy and live up to Marriott standards. I also was charged the wrong price I was supposed to be charge 274.00 per night and checked my bank card they have charged me 504.00 so I have disputed that with my bank please if you stay here make sure the room is clean and you get better customer service. I will post the pictures on another site .... The only great thing I can say about this hotel is the parking is cheaper than anyone else and it was close to where I was going...

First off: Under construction.. I get it, the hotel is very dated and this is the off-season. Better to do it now. But the guests’ floors REEKED of paint. They said they would try to move us to another room if we wished, but the smell permeated through any floor we explored so we stayed put. There has to be a better way to ventilate during/after painting to alleviate this. Windows don’t open, so we ran the a/c even though it was in the 30s at night.
Our room seemed clean.. until I noticed there was a dried glob of spit (I hope) on the wall next to my side of the bed. Nice. Little overlooked details mean a lot, and they start to add up. Negligent oversight. Picture attached.
The ceiling was peeling as were parts of the walls. Bathroom seemed fine. Tv worked but the radio/alarm clock had clearly broken functions that have been disregarded over time. They couldn’t bother to set the clock to the correct time, either. Once again, little details but they mean a lot, especially when they start to add up.
Parking garage was fine, I didn’t mind paying $25 for it.
Did not try any food. The outside pool area looked nice. The staff was friendly. Which I imagine they had to be due to all the apologizing they must be doing. Good luck finding a vending machine or a water bottle filling station. I eventually found a water fountain on the “Banquet Level” floor.
Attempted to connect to the Wi-Fi several times and couldn’t even get past the login screen, so be warned.
Last but not least, as we were going to sleep my asked me why I booked a queen bed. I hadn’t even realized they didn’t give us the king room I’d booked because I was distracted by all the other things. If there is a price difference, I am going to ask for the difference in cost. (Side note: the pillows caused me to wake up with a stiff neck).
I booked this months ago and paid $150 for one night? Somewhere around there, before parking and such. They are now charging significantly less than that, presumably due to the construction, but I was screwed because I paid in full months ago. Most of the hotels in Uptown are around $150-$200, money-wise, save for a few, and I am excited to try another one next time. Any other one.
Edit: No, Bill, I will never stay at this hotel again. Thanks for offering me nothing in regards to my issues (not even an email address where I can contact you). I am sure your “appropriate teams” will...
Read moreMy visit was 15-18 November 2022 on business. Arrived before the cold rain came in, so I decided to eat from restaurant bar on site. I had checked the reviews and location of the hotel prior to my arrival. It is nicely located to many sites, activities, and restaurants. However, the weather was cold. So, when back in this area, I will probably try the hotel again. The hotel is located across the street from the courthouse. Although the cost was steep for parking, the security was worth it. The garage is covered and the parking slots are wide, which I appreciated. What I did manage to see of lounge and pool seating area was nice. The entrance way & elevators seemed a little worn but the rest of the hotel made up for it. Room was cleaned but not to my standards, so I did do some cleaning, but when you housekeeping staff is chatting on the phone and trying to clean at the same time, then you understand the standard. That is what I witnessed the day I checked into my room. This also was the first time to see you needed a credit card to use the safe. Imagine that. No suite rack in room either. The first day for breakfast, opened late but the food was decent for me. Not a big eater. Didn’t appreciate the woman who came down with her dog, don’t like my food around animals and the man who came down in his PJs, which was ignorant. I really don’t understand selfish people. The dinner area was very nice but on the first day, the tables were not wiped down from night before. The rest of the week went better. Gym area small like most but spacey. I always check beds by pulling up sheet corners on the beds, no critters, but would suggest hotel do like others and place plastic covers on mattresses to protect them from guess who spill things on them or to prevent any future bug problems that could get undetected from chatting housekeeping staff. They would have noticed that they did not place the cups in the room that are used for hot drinks instead of those thin water cups. I had to get my cups from downstairs. At least the heating vents were clean. Overall, some others on my business trip stayed in hotels that made me happy for the choice I made. The food in their QTavern was average for a cold rainy day. The conversations I had with other guest while waiting for food was pleasant. If back in the area, I may give the hotel another try. Its location to everything makes it good and when you see the pilots using it, then you know...
