The Visulite Theatre was amazing! Where do I start haha? I proposed to my girlfriend here because her favorite band was playing! The point is not the proposal, but how the Visulite helped. I had made arrangements with the band and needed the Visulite to help me out. After I called, Will (the guy running the place) reached out to me via text with his personal number and catered to my every need. He arranged lights and sound, helped me get the schedule lined up and used his whole staff to help me. They snuck camera people through the back and even when we showed up he was clever enough to play it cool like he didn't know who I was! They helped us on and off the stage and kept the letter boards up outside for us to get pictures even though they needed to change them. When it's all said and done they were an amazing venue! Great light, great setup, great selection at the bar and absolutely the most amazing and friendly staff I have ever met at a venue! They also had clean bathrooms which is a total plus haha and parking right across the street which you don't find much of in the big city! The day after my proposal (today haha) Will even reached out to me again just to congratulate me and let me know what else they could do for me! In conclusion, I highly recommend supporting this venue and going to enjoy shows there! Thank you Will, Andy, bouncer dude, light and sound dude and bar tenders!...
Read moreFor a small venue it was pretty great! Staff was extraordinarily nice, sound setup was good (though, admittedly, I would've liked to hear the vocals better when I was at front and center stage), and the overall setup was good.
There's handicapped ramps on both sides of the venue, from the entrance down to the ground floor. There's chairs, tables, and a bar to sit at. There was a bar at the center if you wanted drinks and a free water cooler on the edge of the bar. The cushioned bar chairs seemed like they were reserved for VIP, but it wasn't marked so frankly I still don't know. But the wooden chairs in general were open, so I used those at the end of the show.
The bands had their merchandise tables set up right in the corner and it was easy to access them without blocking the exit/entrance. Bathrooms are right inside, men's on the left and women's on the right - clearly marked.
Paying for "membership" was weird for me though. Seems like a cheap way to scalp an extra $1 out of you after paying for a ticket for the show; but it didn't kill me so I can't complain too much. Card or cash accepted. From what I could tell it's an 18+ venue, but anyone under 18 needs to have a parent or guardian with them. Also, anyone below 21 needed to pay a $2 surcharge, anyone...
Read moreThe venue looks much smaller from the outside than once you're in the door. The gentleman checking ID's was polite and professional. When my 16yo daughter showed him her ID, he placed an "X" on the back of both hands to share she was a minor. Once inside the door, our names were found on a list and we were given black-ink stamps on the back of our right hand. The restroom was clearly marked, the bar has a lot of standing room and several stools available. The stage is at the far end of the building, which is less than 80 feet from the bar. There were about a half-dozen tables on each side of the room, with additional seats scattered around the perimeter. So, you'll want to get there early in order to have a table. The employees are kind and ready to help. I actually felt ill while in the restroom and a female employee offered me a bottle of water and a trash liner, just in case I was...
