Hi my name is LaTaurus Exum and presently I am homeless. I thought that this was an equal opportunity place of business with no judgment as people no matter their ethnic background. I did not check the value the pizza before I left because I trusted them to give me the treatment of everyone else. How I learned about this business establishment through my Door Dash job. I saw the beautiful pizza of one of my customers. So I went there thinking I would get equal value of one of my door dash customers. However to no avail I was treated and served like I was a nobody. My pizza had a small amount on my Queen Margarita pizza it looked like it was just thrown together. As I began to look around I was the only African American in the entire place at that time. My Cesar salad had no Cesar ingredients in it no cheese and get this two flat croutons at the bottom of the salad with wilted lettuce. I was so hurt because I had spent my last $48.00. I work hard for my little money. So my money was good enough to take but not enough to give me five star service. No I’m not playing the race card but you have to look at facts and it’s a fact that this African American was treated like a I did not matter according to the treatment they gave me. I really wish I wasn’t treated this way but I was. I will never spend my hard earned money there again the only good thing I got from them was a tequila shot because I happened to be there watching them open a new bottle of Astral Tequila. As far as the food I waited at least 30-45 minutes for my food I had time to walk my dog go to the ice cream shop and get an ice cream for my dog me and my fiancé. When I came back to check to see if my food was done it wasn’t. I walked back and forth in that place several time before my messy pizza and basically a salad that consist of nothing but wilted...
Read moreCraving a perfect family day trip? My crew and I recently ventured from Raleigh to Charlotte, and our culinary compass pointed us directly to Pizza Baby. With a menu boasting the holy trinity of pizza, wings, and salad, it was an easy decision, and a quick reservation secured our spot amidst what we anticipated would be a bustling lunch rush.
Upon arrival, the vibrant energy of a packed house greeted us, but our wait was remarkably brief. The owner, whose welcoming face I instantly recognized, was a beacon of hospitality. He personally greeted us, assuring us of immediate seating, a gesture that truly set the tone. While lingering by the door, we appreciated the surprisingly clean and well-maintained restroom facilities, a small detail that speaks volumes.
Once seated, our server, a wonderfully kind and knowledgeable individual (I believe her name was "Wa"), effortlessly guided us through the menu. Her expertise and calm demeanor were clearly honed by catering to large groups sitting the restaurant, making our experience seamless. Another attentive gentleman also contributed to the excellent service, though his name eludes me.
Beyond the impeccable service, Pizza Baby truly shines with its offerings. Their curated wine collection, refreshing spritz menu, and, of course, the food, were all fantastic. A highlight of our visit came when we mentioned our Raleigh origins to the owner. In a truly generous move, he invited us into the kitchen, where my 11-year-old had the incredible opportunity to witness the magic of pizza-making firsthand!
In short, Pizza Baby served up delicious food, an amazing atmosphere, and a top-tier experience. We're already planning our...
Read moreThis is the second time visiting this location in the last week during the lunch hour. My first time was very good. Ordered the speciality Roman pizza (pre-made) by the slice which was in the window under the heater. Staff heated it in the oven for a moment before serving over the counter, which gave it a fresher taste. Because it was already made, service was extremely fast. Overall very good.
This second time visiting may possibly be my last. They changed everything up inside. Now there is a host stand for either dining in (with a server) or you can order to go. They got rid of the premade Roman specialty slices and upped the prices of nearly all menu items. The Cesar salad went from $8 last week to $14 this week and was the same size. Had to wait at least 20 minutes after ordering for a single slice of pepperoni pizza. This standard slice with one topping cost more than the fancy speciality slice last week, and took a whole lot longer to serve since it had to be made fresh now. Normally fresh would be better, but it tasted the same freshness-wise as the premade slice last week. As a nearby hospital employee (with limited time for lunch breaks) I don’t have time to wait for single slices to be made, so that premade option was a lot more convenient and just as tasty. I would have to order ahead to even consider going here for...
