My current business with BoA isn't one I chosen but my grandmother whom was once a Nations Bank customer that BoA bought out had her mortgage with them and she passed away leaving her home to me that was paid off. Not only did BoA allow her daughter to commit fraud on the account and take out a $25,000.00 HELOC (Home Equity Line of Credit) against her home pretending to be her, and I shown proof of my grandmothers admittance AND discharge medical papers from the hospital, but BoA doesn't think that is sufficient enough to prove that it IS fraud. They believe she was able and competent enough to sign and understand and be PHYSICALLY at the bank to take out the HELOC. This is the type of company people DON'T want to do business with. She was mentally unstable, dieing from Liver Failure and chemically unbalanced, and couldn't hear with dementia. I have the papers to prove this and supplied it all to them. Following month she passed.
So I show them her death certificate. It took BoA 11 months to acknowledge me as the homeowner. Only then did they finally tell me I am the successor in interest. That same time, they ALSO tell me the house is in foreclosure. But wont tell me why, how, who, what, when, where, nothing.... It took hours of phone calls and one recorded phone call later (with permission) a manager took control of a situation and disclosed to me where the statements were going and that none were paid and that since the HELOC was taken out thats where ALL the bills were going too. Mind you both Lake County Sheriffs office and Orange County Sheriffs office BOTH said BoA wasn't cooperating with the investigation report filed. I was considered the reporter and BoA was considered the victim since BoA paid the money BUT my home was foreclosure and I would be the one evicted... Long story short it was going to cost me more money in attorney fees then the HELOC was worth so I was advised to pay it to them even though I had no benefit at all in it.
I paid it, made the account current. Still since 7/2017 still to this VERY day... After foreclosure and all I STILL do not have a SINGLE bill to pay. But they have 0 ZERO problems putting my home in foreclosure. They wont allow me to pay it online, they give me no address to send payments too, no method for me to see the remaining ballance, and everyone gives me the run around as to which number to call to get help about anything. I literally have a spreadsheet of numbers, names, dates, rep ID numbers, times, of who I called, when I called, and what number is for what issue. This is how bad it is to be a Bank of America customer.
Oh and when you file a complaint with the Attorney General, Federal Reserve Consumer Help, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, BoA Regulatory Complaint dept., Division of Corporations, and Florida Dept. of Banking you get one person who calls you from their corporate offices. Only then to be told she was shocked it took so long to acknowledge me as Successor in Interest and she would try to get an answer as to why this took so long (but that didn't stop the foreclosure or even get me a bill saying what is past due and why and an amount). She pursued the fraud issue, but then all I got was a letter saying insufficient evidence. Yet even a 10 year old child can comprehend these letters. Mind you all the while getting little to no communication especially after the outcome I got.
As of March 26, 2019 I still don't have a single statement. I spoken with the rep on the phone today and he informed me the last statement that went out was returned to sender and was mailed to a house in Clermont, FL. "the property address on file" I corrected him as I LIVE on the property in question and that isn't the address. He informed me the statements stopped and he sees now the address change. He gave me an amount and where to send it and will generate statements...
Read morePause a moment. Whether you are a customer of bank of america, or an employee, my words are addressed to you. There is no shortage of animosity toward financial institutions lately. What I can offer is a candid perspective and some simple solutions to making real change. I will make it worth your time if you will offer me the courtesy of your attention.
It's easy to be distracted these days. The pervasiveness of mass coordinated criminal activity by large banks is a proven phenomena. For example, wells fargo employees illegally set up accounts for customers without their knowledge or consent. With the exception of those directly affected, it seems that no one has had time to digest what a remarkable betrayal this is. What was their sentence? A slap on the wrist in the form of a fine. The sensational 24/7 news cycle has kept most everyone distracted while the great robbery ensues, this time in plain sight.
Do you ever stop to think who you entrust your money to? If you're an employee of bank of america, consider how your everyday actions effect others. When this house of cards comes crashing down, how might you be judged? Perhaps the most critical question is who should be held accountable for this mess?
I think those of us still handing over our money to bank of america must accept responsibility. While changing your bank can be a daunting task, contributing to the growth of this corperate malignancy is unethical. There may not be an abundance of options, but there are better options than b of a. I'm finished handing over my money to this abomination. I am done wasting my time on the phone with their human and robotic minions. I am beginning a new project. Since my departure from bank of america won't make a dent financially, I have to get creative.
Help me shed light on all of the dirty little secrets that bank of america wishes to keep in the dark. Share your experience. If you feel as I do put your money where your mouth is and join me! Let's concentrate our reviews here. This Hydra has many heads but only one black heart.
Most important, you must speak to these people in the only language they understand...dollars and cents. If you can't cancel your account, just withdrawal as much as you can stomach. If you really want to see this thing go away, withdrawal every dime of your money from their greasy little paws and close your account(s). It will be a glorious day!
Let's take a moment to glance under the hood and see why b of a is such filth. Have ever wondered how the bank decides to authorize a charge when there are insufficient funds in your account? bank of america utilizes an ingenius algorithm that analyzes your spending habits to determine the precise dollar amount it can "lend" you to maximize accruals of ultra high interest short term lends (AKA overdraft fees).
They put payday loan companies to shame! Overdraft fees are a staple of b of a's diet, but fees are the tip of the iceberg. Like most large 21st century corperations, b of a is ravenous for your data. If you are not concerned about the implications of banks leveraging your personal data to maximize profits, you're lucky to be so naive! This is where bank of america excels in pure scumbaggery.
If you work for this enterprise, all the money you make will never buy back your dignity. Rest assured all ye "valued" employees of b of a, no matter how important you think you are, you're going to be obsolete soon. You had better bet that you're currently training your non human replacement. I love AI and robots, but not yours! Your AI systems are programmed with the worst qualities of human nature. Just find something else to do. I'm sure you are just trying to put food on the table, just doing your job, just sticking to the script. Don't you want more out of life than the list of options your computer authorizes you to do?
This is never going to end if we don't all step up...
Read moreSince June 2017, I've had to close down and reopen my credit card account due to fraudulent charges and it is getting annoying and ridiculous. For the last two, I've limited the credit card usage to my local Costco and one gas station but the fraud charges are still coming. I asked the fraud department to investigate which merchant is the cause of this but I am not getting any useful information. The typical answer is: It's complicated and it takes time.
The replacement card arrived on Friday 11/17 and upon activated the card I tried to use it in a restaurant but I was told the transaction was denied. I called the customer service then found out the replacement card was CLOSED before it even reached my house. Yes you read that right, one of your BoA associates decided it was a good idea to CLOSE A CREDIT WHEN IT WAS ON AN UPS TRUCK on its way to your customer.
After talking to one of the supervisors on Friday night and exhausted all options to reactivate the card I have to settle for a new card to be mailed out to me overnight on Monday 11/20 and I should receive it on Tuesday 11/21. Today, 11/21, after waited a whole day without getting notification from UPS I decided to call customer service again on tonight to check the status of the package. Then I was told the card was mailed out but it went out via regular mail instead of overnight like I requested and was promised. Again, after exhausting all possible options I settled for having another card mail out to me on Tuesday 11/21 and I should receive it on Wednesday 11/22.
After talking to the associate I requested to speak with a supervisor so I can confirm everything is in order and I will get my card on 11/22. Then the supervisor delivered me the news that due to all the recent activities on my account (WHICH WERE ALL CAUSED BY THE INCOMPETENCE OF THE BOA TEAM) that it was selected to be put under review by the computer. The card will only go out after a human physically reviewed the account and gave it the approval. But since it was already late no one can do that and the supervisor can't promise that department will get to it the next day.
So the bottom line is here I am, almost a week after the initial incident started, I am still without a card and without an estimated arrival date. Again I would like to ask you, is this your way to treat a Preferred Award Platinum Honors customer? If so then please let me know because there is a Chase branch office right down the road...
