TL;DR: Gave me the worst haircut of all time, needed to go somewhere else after they messed up my hair, so if you want a great haircut for a cheaper price, go around the corner to Barbering by Petrick. If you insist on going here, only schedule with Timmaree
Don't leave reviews too often, but needed to leave one this time. I've been here 3 times, gave them multiple chances. First time, i got a text to be there within 15 min, got there within 7 and witnessed them putting someone ahead of me in the queue, hence me having to wait an additional 40 minutes to get my haircut. No big deal, I guess it happens, the haircut was ok, so I gave them a second chance.
Second time, no issues. Sat with Timmaree and she gave me an amazing haircut, no complaints whatsoever. This brings me to my third, and final time, going.
Went in 4 days ago, enough time to cool off from the possible worst haircut I have gotten. Had to change my hairdresser, again, and the other Woman I went to spent a whole 7 minutes on my hair.....7 minutes. Asked for a fade on the sides with a scissor cut-finger length on top, as well as to trim my eyebrows quickly. There was no fade, whatsoever. The top was not finger length and was the most uneven haircut I have ever gotten. Didn't realize how bad it looked until I got home and washed it out. Additionally, she only trimmed one of my eyebrows, and I called her out on it, twice, and she swore she did, even though one was noticeably longer than the other. Hair was a complete mess. Instantly called Barbering by Petrick around the corner to see if I could squeeze in before they closed and there was no issue. He took his time cleaning up my hair from the mess The Cut made, and honestly one of the better haircuts I've gotten. It was a bit shorter than I anticipated, but he didn't have a choice as The Cut butchered my hair, so he did what he had to do. All in all, loved the work Petrick did and will be continuing to go there instead...
Read moreNew to Charlotte, so I called in to make an appointment. Well they do not take appointments, walk-ins only. For the price they charge you cannot claim to be a high end barber shop and expect people to just walk in and wait several minutes for a haircut. I work 9-5, I do not have time to just sit around and wait. This is a ridiculous model and way of doing business especially if you are targeting uptown business professionals. Most barbers would prefer a set book of times, not having to depend on walk-ins, and most customers would rather come in, get a cut, and not have to sit and wait.
I see below where the owner has responded to my review. Well I do not need an explanation for how it works because you cannot call in the morning for an afternoon haircut, you have to monitor their website, if it gets close to the time you want (lets say 6 PM) and they are busy around that time frame, then you are out of luck. You should be able to call in or book online, request an appointment for the time that fits your schedule, not theirs and move on with your day. Why not just take appointments? What is the reasoning for not doing that. Makes...
Read moreNice haircuts and friendly staff , but they offer extra services online but only let you make an appointment for a haircut. So if you try to walk in you’ll be unable to use any other services because you don’t have an appointment.
Update: just got another haircut here and had a bad experience. When the barber was trimming my neck they were doing so careless less and caught my shirt a few times. They then said my haircut was done without asking if I liked it and didn’t even show me the back of my head. I had to then ask for some changes as my hair was inconsistent and puffy. I could tell the person did not want to do any re-work as anything I asked for would be done with in two seconds. It just felt that they wanted to rush me out. My haircut was done...
