Read moreRomare Bearden Park is one of the nicest outdoor open areas in Charlotte. Aside from the various events held here such as fireworks, live music, food truck festivals and Child friendly fares, there are several play areas hidden amongst the artistic architecture accented by beautiful multicolored lights. From water spouts randomly shooting upwards from the ground, musical squares embedded in the cement that chime when jumped on, bells to ring, rocks to climb, trails to walk, a multi acre field to play soccer in or just run freely through..there is fun for all ages here. If you need a break, there are several seating areas to relax in or enjoy a bite to eat from any of the great restaurants that surround over half of the park. This place is so beautiful that my wife and I chose to have our wedding here. If you are a Charlotte native and you haven't been...go now. If you are a visitor who's looking for one of Charlotte's top ten gems, add romare Bearden Park to...
