Izar Wellness Institute: Rafael Nieto, MD — Local services in Charlotte

Dr. N made an agreement with my fiancé, a microblading artist/fibroblast tech, that consisted of her providing microblading and Fibroblast services at his spa for his patients, for a percentage of the money earned.

To begin with, his verbal offer of percentages changed several times— which was a red-flag and also the number one reason why we wanted the contract in writing so badly— so we could define the terms and continue with business. However, for the next several months Dr. N delayed the presenting of the contract in writing. After many missed calls and unanswered texts, and get this, even conversations about presenting the contract, there was still no contract presented. Meanwhile, my fiancé was servicing his patients (We know— our mistake— we shouldn’t have provided services until a contract was shown), honoring the verbal agreement, using her materials, equipment, and (limited) resources. Unfortunately, Dr N only offered consistent delays, hidden agendas, sneaky excuses, and empty promises.

When Dr N. began to notice the first glimpses of her success, he became greedy. His promise of a partnership and support waned, and instead, turned into something despicable and evil. Something that no one should ever do— especially a grown man with an MD unto a tenacious young lady who has just opened a small (and I mean small) business, trying to improve her life with every penny she’s got.

This Doctor coerced her into believing a partnership was on the horizon— got close to her, learned her procedures and became familiar with her equipment and necessary documents, and then pushed her out of the way and took over her business— while simultaneously utilizing her materials to advertise and promote his business and procedures that he has never performed before.

Dr. N watched her perform her services with hawk-eyes and stern concentration, making sure to carefully ask questions about the procedures and the equipment when he thought she wasn’t paying attention.

He pushed her out of the picture because he was too passive aggressive to say how he really felt about her making money when he wasn’t. He stole her ideas and her business and crushed her.

To make matters worse, when my fiancé walked away from this mess, Dr. N flew Allison, his front desk secretary, to take a 2 day fibroblast training course in Miami, right before COVID started. And now they are making a profit with someone with extremely little experience but faking it by using all my fiancé’s intellectual properties and materials. After demanding them several times to remove form the website, they still have not done so.

As of today, Dr. N continues to use her pictures and written content on his website and we don’t even know all the ways he’s truly taking advantage of her work.

I do not say this lightly: DR. N HAS USED MY FIANCE’S INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, INCLUDING, ALL SORTS OF BUSINESS DOCUMENTS (BUSINESS PLAN, PRICE CHARTS, PROCEDURAL GUIDELINES, ETC.), PROFESSIONAL BEFORE-AND-AFTER PHOTOS (WHICH ARE LIKE GOLD IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY), CONTENT ON HIS WEBSITE (WRITTEN AND PHOTO MEDIA), AND EVEN PATIENT CARE FORMS THAT SHE CREATED FROM SCRATCH.

Dr. N has stolen precious things from us. Not only has he taken my finances business and ALL that comes with it, but he has stolen immaterial things, like our inner peace and our ability to trust in others. It is deflating and infuriating to know that this desperate, inept man is benefiting and profiting after coercing my fiancé, stealing from her and then continuing to use her content and photos on his website for...

My family member went to see Dr. Nieto supposedly with great recommendations. At IZAR wellness Institute Med Spa, great staff but unfortunately Dr. Nieto does not run an honest, professional practice on his end!!! You would think with the education and professionalism a Doctor would have a better sense of customer service, compassion and work ethic instead it was like a scam ring. You should never leave a patient dissatisfied with a procedure and have them walk out but make sure they pay for services that were not completed. The promises and guarantees that are made were false hope. When a procedure is done and you still look the same and nothing has changed like it was suppose to and the Doctor says wow you look so good! My eyes are not deceiving I looked the same there was not any difference. It was clear that the patient needed more cc’s in order to see the difference with treatment. The Doctor choose not to make corrections or show any compassion for the concerns of the patient. How are you to charge as much money $$$$ for a treatment that clearly had zero results. Being in the same industries my family member was taken advantage of, given insufficient treatment, dissatisfied and he was dishonest. Having you pay full price for half the treatment!!!

If this is how he treats his patients he will not being getting my well earned money. I will not be visiting this Doctor. VERY unprofessional and dishonest!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! BECAREFUL before you jump into any treats with Dr. Nieto, EL...

Dr. Rafael Nieto is amazing! Him and his staff at Izar Wellness Institute make you feel so comfortable! He has the best products around, that leave you very soft, and natural! They truly focus in on you and your area's of concern. This is the first place that I have ever been that asked me what I thought, and how I felt. They also aren't there to just take your money. Dr. Nieto only wants the best and most natural look for his patients! He would send you away before doing anything that isn't beautiful or natural on you. They also have a wonderful rewards program. I went there and had my lips filled, and the wrinkles on my forehead treated, and in return was given $600 worth of lazer and facials for free. Never have I been to a place that gives you amazing procedures that benefit you, all because you spent money on something you wanted! When I went in for lip fillers, Dr. Nieto presented me with the best products, and he also considered my age when choosing what products would work best for me. We discussed how he would fill my lips, and how he aims to keep them looking naturally plumped. And that is what he did! I'm so satisfied with my results and I would recommend ANYONE to Dr. Nieto and his team! They are the best! He values his team and his patients. He truly breaks the mold and leaves you feeling your absolute best!
