Initially the service I received was great on Father's day. My AC blew out at home so I was in need of fans. I don't remember the young girls name but she was Caucasian, kinda tall but amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. I bought 3 fans that you can add water too and was supposed to cool off small rooms. We'll it didn't work as I thought it would so I returned them. However in the midst of my frustration and the heat at home I misplaced my receipt, unfortunately I paid cash that day which I never do. I was hoping to get a store credit possibly, I knew it was my fault but figured I would try. The lady behind the customer service desk was not helpful, starred at me for a minute before asking to help me. I explained my situation and she didn't really want to help me, attitude was dry. She made me feel like I was a criminal or telling a lie. I'm sure they hear all kind of stories but her attitude towards the situation was very uncomfortable for me. I went back to my car with the fans and called and spoke to the manager Ty. He explained the policy, which was fine but he was amazingly helpful and tried to figure out multiple ways he could try and assist me. It was a Friday and he was busy but still tried assisting. He advised me to come back the next morning and speak with another manager named Jennifer. I got there and Jennifer was on a call but assisted me once done, and she was also amazingly helpful with a great attitude at 7am on a Saturday morning. I told her the day and around the time I bought the fans and within a few minutes she found my transaction and was able to assist me. That was amazing customer service because her and Ty went above and beyond trying to assist me. They did not have to do that because I simply didn't have my receipt. But they didn't make me feel like a liar. They even apologized fir the bad service I received from the woman at the customer service desk. Three out of 4 of those employees were great. That other lady seemed to be new but she does not have to have a bad attitude working with customers. I hardly ever shop at Home Depot, but because of the young girl, Ty and Jennifer they will get my money again. I never post reviews but I really want these employees to be acknowledged because they were a prime example of great customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was happy to realize that the home Depot near my work opened early enough in the morning for me to go before work and buy the stuff I need for the lawn project I have going on. So I set my alarm clock 2 hours early got up at the crack of dawn and stop by the home Depot before going to the office. Unfortunately open at this home Depot doesn't actually mean open. The garden center gate was still locked, so I went inside and walked through to the garden center only to find that no one was working out there, and all the large carts you need to get garden Center sized items were nowhere to be found. There was one other person with a vest on and when I asked them where I could get a cart they said they didn't work there. Then I noticed all of the large carts were still locked up outside of the closed and locked Gates. 2 weeks ago I stopped by to order a door, and even though they continually paged someone to millwork as I stood there for 45 minutes, when I walked and asked someone they told me that no one would be in that department until 8:00 a.m.. couldn't someone have walked by and told me that before I waited for forever and wasted my early morning? I ended up having to go to the customer service desk to make my purchase which I had to figure out on my own since no one bothered to stop and tell me that no one was showing up for that department for another hour and a half. My recommendation home Depot.. if you're going to open go ahead and freaking open and have someone in every department for those of us who want to get something done early in the morning. Because wasting your time going there when no service is available because basically no one is at work yet is incredibly infuriating especially when you set your alarm clock and got up early specifically to accomplish one of your daily tasks and then you realize that time was entirely wasted. But worse, not only was your time wasted you had to figure it out on your own because no one in the store bothered to even freaking talk to you and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience at the Home Depot tool rental was very bad. I enter the facility to return the aerator I had rented. There is no one in there. I wait about 5 minutes and the employee enters. He greats me and I tell him what I'm returning. The phone rings & he says please wait. He answers the call and spends 10 minutes helping the person on the phone. He gets off the call and says I'm sorry, I have to do 1 more thing. He comes back to me 5 minutes later. By that time 2 more customers had entered. He asks who is next? I hold the paper up & the other 2 customers point at me. He says owe yeah! He keys something in the machine and tells me how much of the deposit is going back on my card. He hands me the receipt and says your all good. He gets ready to help the next customer, but I interrupt & tell him I need help getting the aerator off my truck. He says ok I'll be there in a minute. I go to the truck but 10 minutes later he was still in the store. I see 1 of the 2 customers from the store exit the building. I go back in the store and he is in the back. I ask him if his going to help me get it off my truck? I tell him how long I had been waiting. He says, "I told you it would be a minute. I have a customer in the store. I can't leave the store with a customer in it - I'm by myself." Apparently, he forgot that there was no one in there when I arrived. I was there alone for 5 minutes before he walked in. He says the outside people should help you get it off. I went and asked someone to help me. Three minutes later it's off my truck and in the store. This experience didn't compare to the other ones I had there. It looks like the changes being made there are not good ones. They need to recreate a better awareness of delivering an outstanding...
